Is hacking a problem in Call of Duty: WW2 PC?
thinking about buying, is hacking a huge problem? On average how many games do you see hackers?

MW2 handed out vac bans and you can't just disable vac and when you get caught ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with vac your WHOLE ACCOUNT gets banned, not just a game.

MW2 had a version number without vac enabled. It then was re-enabled and version number didn't change. That was in the past year or so. DLC still has little to NO hackers at all 99.9% of the time.

The servers are secured with VAC. It says it right on the store page. The game is secured, too. It will be banning more and more people very, very soon.

Hopefully that will bring back the people who quit due to legit hackers, but hopefully, also, the noob false-accusers stay the f away, amirite? Yes, yes I am.

Again, though, the fact still remains:

Do you want to be stuck with a hack ridden BASE game and complaining on a forum? OR do you want to have more than 9 maps, more weapons for DLC-players-only, more war modes, more zombies maps, AND be separate from the VAST MAJORITY of cheaters who might buy DLC once, but won't keep spending 50+ on DLC each time they get banned?

Stuck in base game with ALL cheaters, or DLC with VASTLY LESS cheaters? Hmmm, REALLY HARD DECISION, HUH?

Think of it for YOUR enjoyment, not everyone elses.

I will enjoy DLC and vastly fewer cheaters, and MUCH LESS who return (as they return to the base game you are playing instead of the DLC-game I will be playing).

Mw2 handed out 25k false bans, cheat providers had VAC disablers built into their cheat programs, you start the cheat engine> it disables the VAC > then Injects the cheat... Actually there are many games that easily get bypassed with this feature...

VAC secure servers are for Source games only, CSGO, L4D .... The VAC was designed for those games engines and work very well, not so much in this environent.. That's a cold hard fact...

No, it was 14,000 LEGITIMATE bans that the outcry forced them to overturn. Proof? No, not without exposing some things, so let's call them false, then, but they were 14,000, not 25,000. And again, most of those mofos were really cheating and were the first and only time so many got away with it because of the media frenzy it caused after the game already had a lot of media frenzy from the dedi debacle (they all went in to cheat - I was there, I saw the private clan forum posts about people doing it and planning it, it was all to troll them for the lack of admin servers, and they got banned ,and raised hell about it as if they didn't cheat).

And Vac works great on anything it is applied to and used for. And this game is Dedicated Servers, so I don't even know what you mean by "this environment" when it's not any different from other dedicated servers once connected.

I think my thread about season pass holders shows a lot of people (since there are not even a lot of people using this forum, yet a whole bunch already responded) own the season pass already, let alone all of the war players and zombies players and tdm players who will want that content as it comes out...

This game isn't really dedicated servers.
It's using a Hybrid system.
About 5-10% of games are servers, the rest are hosts.
I have never seen a host migration in over 180 hours of play. We had dedis from day one (we were the "limited markets") where I am. Before consoles. We had populated HQ before consoles, too. We also had a main menu before them as well. They got our menu on patch two or three, they used to just log into HQ (like how gta games dump you right into the game on consoles instead of menu - just like that). Just some extra bits.

Anyhow, I have never been on a player hosted game, always dedi. Never a migration, but I have seen video of them, and I have seen people say their region has no servers and it's all P2P for them.

That is how it works: if there is a dedi available, it joins it. When the dedis get shut down or ported over to the new COD? This game will FALL BACK to p2p, but afaik, it's dedis 100%, I'd need some proof to be able to see otherwise since I have never been peer hosted.

I know how the Hybrid system works.

And it will be exactly how you say it is, because they did the same with AW.

But there is a serious lack of servers where I am. Because I'm pretty sure every game I've joined it's been a host. (With few exeptions.)
And I've been host a few times too.
We should party up some time.

To many times to count.
That's just a text readout, the server is still a host, it's just not a user.

I only get that sometimes when joining Headquarters. Then, it kicks me to the black and white video initial menu (where you can choose local play instead of play) and then the weird thing is, I hit "play" after that, and instead of give me the main menu, it dumps me right into a headquarters :P

VAC only works if the developers record KNOWN cheats and maintain their scan database. It doesn't work by magic where a game supports VAC and suddenly all cheaters get banned. The onus is on the developers to upkeep the feature and ensure that it is coded to detect all forms of forbidden core file modifications within the games directory architecture and cheats that become known to the them. Sledgehammer have already proven that they games non-existent anti-cheat is not tailored to detect directory injections or core file changes as nobody has been VAC banned from the game and they also don't issue Game Bans for cheaters that have been brought to their attention with video evidence.

If you're going to keep on beating that dead horse; it's best to get facts right rather than just make baseless assumptions that VAC works by magic just because the game supports the feature. SHG are not making use of either anti-cheat made available to them as promised it is pointless trying to celebrate VAC when it's not even being utilised in the most basic sense of its purpose.

Legit bans ? lmao... Not even close hombre, the signature check for .dll's between the disk version and memory were wrong in their database which triggered the false bans, kinda why Valve reversed all bans and even sent everyone effected a copy of L4d and a copy they could gift a friend..

Not sure if your misinformation is whats makes you such a fanboi but your next spew about The VAC being great at whatever its applied to is most likely the biggest cloud of ***** I think ive read in these forums to date !! Congrats....

The only enviroment again that the VAC is effective fo is for Source games which is what it was designed for solely, please get this in your head, Games being VAC secured means The VAC has the ability to hand out bans in that game, VAC secure servers actually work in realtime and will ban on the spot, Now if you're playing a non Source game ( lets say MW2 ) and you get a VAC ban ... Well chances are you got a bottom of the barrel cheat that you downloaded for free and you're the laughing stock of the cheating community...

Now if SH games actually gave two Fu*** about counteracting cheaters and actually wanted to make the VAC sufficent for their game all they need to do is go to these cheat sites, subscribe and get the cheat, decrypt it , send the info to the VAC database, and rinse and repeat with every update to the cheat programs.... Bans would getting handed out left and right...
