HI
I fully understand you, it's the same even though I'm in Vienna so in the middle of Europe and the next server is in Frankfurt in Germany!
if i play in the night or in the early morning in zombie mode or multiplayer, i am suddenly connected to americans !!! have already read in the forum that you have connected with asia since !!! servers and ping is totally ♥♥♥♥! Since you have to pay a few million dollars to doller yourself that you can put a fast connection under the sea !!! The longer the distance of the connection the weaker it is at the destination when it arrives !!! PING LOSS
greetings from vienna !!!!

because the game uses steamworks, a server browser not unlike extreme steam matchmaking mw2/mw3/valve game server browser can be made. I am not on that side of the spectrum, however.
Because ranked server browser died with BO1. If they did server browsers they should put all the hack trash on their own little server farm all by themselves...Red Badge of Dishonor gains entry into the PENAL COLONY SERVERS immediately.

Well said.

Sorry OP.

Not sure it is the one bar laggers causing the lag on the servers, I find on some servers, you can shoot players point blank from behind and get no hits! ( with only full bar players in that lobby), switch to another server and the game is so different.
Sometimes you find your being hit where no player could possibly be shooting at you! ( ie in a building or ally, just weird!

The real problem is that this (and many others) game does not have proper dedicated server support.

Before anybodycries me down about "listen" servers and the like. Let me say one thing.

A dedicated server is a permanent server that you can choose to connect to. Usually dedicated servers have a server browser so you can choose that you have a good ping time, and low latency, to. People then connect to this server because it offers decent ping. Fair enough, on games with low player count you would get Eastern European, Russian, US, whatever (I'm UK based, so I'm using locations that would have bad ping relative to myself), connecting because there were few servers with players in, so they'd connect to anything.

Yet, a dedicated server is not one that will connect you to players from all over the globe on a whimsey. It would not be a match where you have a dozen people playing and a dozen nationalities represented through a random matchmaking algorithm. These are not "dedicated" servers.

Now you may say that these servers are "dedicated" because they are available to match players up, anywhere, 24/7. That, unfortunately, is not the accepted standard of a "dedicated" server thant anybody who was PC gaming before the year 2000 accepts.

This is the problem with COD, and it has been since MW2 when P2P matchmaking was introduced. One player gets the best connection, because they're accepting everybody else's connection, and the rest, well, the rest generally suck ball s unless they are very good.

This is the problem with COD.

I typically play on the exact same 3 servers. Jersey, Illinois, and another one, I think it's Atlanta based.

I constantly have local players, it is Very rare to be matches with any non-greens. Only late at night.

It all depends where you are from, what time you are playing, and how many people in your area like the game.

Sometimes I match in California, and late at night I might match to UK. Game is still solid. I have joined AU servers on people's profiles and been fine once I adjust my play to compensate. Then I go back to natural matchmaking and basically play like a god for a bit since now I am way more swift than the far away server.

Not a problem with CoD. If it were, then MW3 servers would be full, yet they are not.

The problems with Dedi server games is:

Changed the entire game, rules, same map 24/7, jerk admin abuse, just like MW2SA kick tool, clan stomping.

AUTO BALANCE is TRASH.

The BEST thing about CoD is matchmaking.

And "dedicated server" is exactly what they are. You don't get to define dedicated server by the front end.

matchmaking is by far the worst, i will not stand playing on 350ms its just plain stupid, impossible to do anything

>hey guys I admit they're dedicated servers, but there NOT the dedicated server I LIKE, so therefore they're not actually dedicated servers!!!!!

Most stupid argument I've ever seen.

Just because you can't decide to connect to it or not, doesn't mean it's not dedicated.
And if you don't want to connect to high ping servers, you can just block yourself from connecting to them. Or play a less dead gamemode. (TDM or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.)

The matchmaking in this game hasn't been P2P since MW3.
That means, Bo2, Bo3, Ghosts, AW, and WW2 have Dedicated servers. (Well, AW and Ghosts used to, I don't know about anymore.)
They are almost always dedicated servers in WW2. And they're pretty decent servers.

I'm going to guess, that you're so ♥♥♥♥ at the game, you have to find every which way to complain about the game.
>buh buh the server is ♥♥♥♥
>buh buh cheaters!!!

Give us your stats in this CoD (or other CoDs.), and if it's below 1.2kd, 350SPM, you're ♥♥♥♥ at the game, and have no room to speak.

my stats in this game are decent..and even better in bo3...
and yes this game still has issues w lag...lag comp...bad hit reg...and laggy ass 1 bar people all over the place......and still cheaters almost everyday...mostly people w obvious walls...on burner profiles...or that guy who goes 40-1 w only 2 hours of game time. not hard to spot em.
