"Hold to sprint" not working properly
Hold to sprint not working properly for me.
When I select hold to sprint in the options, it behaves like toggle sprinting.
If I stop holding down "shift", my soldier should stop sprinting,but he doesnt... he continues sprinting
Anyone have the same Problem and/or know how to fix it?
Before it wasnt a huge problem for me, because I would break the sprint by going aim down sights anyways (not using quick draw on ym classes…),
but with the new riotshields I cant do this and I dont want to expose my feet by accident :(

There are 3 settings for SPRINT: Sprint/Use sharpshooter, Sprint and HOLD sprint. I have the same button for the first 2 and Unbound the third "Hold sprint". The last is unbound by default.
I like it that way. Then i can run and ADS or hipfire stop the sprint. You have to eneble HOLD sprint, then your sprint stop when you let go of the button....Or change shift to that.

I know how it SHOULD work, but the third option "hold to sprint" isnt working as intended, it behaves like normal "Sprint/Use sharpshooter" or "Sprint"

For you, as an toggle sprinting player...does a second hit on you sprinting key makes your soldier walking? For me he continues to sprint, like hold to sprint.

I guess its a bug since the Update that introduced unlimited sprint for all divisions.

Yes a second hit stop my sprint....
Well the first you should do is clear browser catche and download catche. Steam will restart. Then go to library ( no big picture) verify integrety for locale file for ww2.

Unfortunately it didn't helped

I noticed that my soldier even starts to put the weapon in hip fire position for a split second, (when letting of my sprint button) but than he does the sprinting animation again.

I have much more then you have. I option is to delete keys_mp.cfg. Start game, a new keys file will be created. Go to settings and set the Sprint-sharpshooter to T and Hold sprint to space.
Close game and check that keys_mp.cfg is there and are NOT set to read only.

Okay did it, but It still doesnt work.
Neither "toggle sprint" stops if I press the button again, nor "hold sprint" stops sprinting if I release the key :/

I would like you to play how you want, but also I would like to suggest use this config, it is the same as MW2 config other than killstreaks/stance and that config is scientifically studied by external teams hired by IW during MW2 development to be the best possible setup for ergonomics in context to what you are doing (when treyarc went back to V for melee and ♥♥♥♥, they ignored this fact, and it's been screwed up back to old un-efficient cod4 style ever since for the most part at least).

(edit: actually, it's not that they ignored it, it's that, like claymore complaints making instant-clays in black ops for the whiners, melee complainers were also coddled in black ops 1 with a nerf to melee that has lasted since and now we have 2 hit halo melee without bayonette etc)

They studied this for MW2 and setup focus groups and spent a lot of money on this config, and it results in the most agility and control possible, at least out of all that MW2's R&D tried, someone may discover better than WASD one day, for all we know:

Ah, this explains why your keys are so plentiful. You've got the secondary binds active in the original + your custom slots in many cases. I have always been impressed by right side players, I know that in most cases it's a left/right handed situation, but sometimes it isn't, and either way, it's an entirely different setup and you guys got some crazy key setups that are mega impressive when seen being used with efficiency on the field.

I got a friend who uses a xbox 360 controller in his left hand, and a mmo-ready mouse in the right hand. He's pretty good for the most part, too.

I tried both of your keybindings, but sprint still doesn't stop when pressing your keys again :(

Dont use my setup. I told you earlier that I use this and have to push again to stop sprint..
You have to set shift/space to "Hold sprint" in the settings (the third of sprint settings)
I havnt enebled "Hold sprint" in my settings and therfore not show up in my keys_mp.cfg.
When I eneble it - It will be like this - bind SPACE "+holdsprint" You can set the button you like...

I know I know. But even "toggle sprint" isnt working with your bindings. My soldier continoues to sprint no matter what, even when I pressed the same button again.
And when I change it to my keybinds with "hold sprint" it doesnt work either.

In the settings/keys - on the top 4 settings-disable number 4 (airborne/hustle sprint). Also disable "Weapon Movement" just under the sprint settings. Check that keys_mp.cfg is NOT set to Read Only.

If this dont work: Reset all key to default and disable gampad in gamepad settings.
Quit game. Start and set your prefered keys and see if they work now.

I always have airborne/hustle sprint, weapon movement and gamepad disabled. Nothing I have to change there.
The config file is and never was set to read only.

Tried resetting the file again, but it didnt help :/

I really dont know what could be the problem anymore :/
