Agreed, it really feels like they've hardly tried in making a fun game, with boring maps an stuff. Even blops3 had a fairly fun game even though i disliked the future theme. Like zombies, its good but after playing it a few times you're kinda tired of it. But the lack of creativity in map design is the worst by far, barely anything to climb over, move, barrels or cars to blow up, 3 lanes where you clearly see it's only 3 lanes. What happened to maps like Crossfire, Sainte-Mère-Église, Creek, Dome, Wasteland, a lot of the maps from cod 3, great design with differing scale. But now in this is all 3 lane tiny maps and nothing more. Even with War mode its still the same.
This game is...
It looked alright.
But then you actually play it, and it's just 'bleh.'
You say it's a clone of CoD, but it feels nothing like it.
Only good thing it did in my book, is good hitreg. Other than that, the gun-play was wank, the person with the laser sight would outgun someone that aimed for headshots (Basically the only way to kill.), the whole unlock system was disapointing and P2W, the maps really weren't great, they made WW2 maps look good. The Graphics were alright...but eh.
I know about how bad a game WW2 is. Movements are sluggish, most weapons have obscene amounts of randomized recoil, the map pool is far too small and lacking in quality, and the class system allows for no flexibility. That, paired with the bad hitreg, the poor server quality and the lack of independent decisionmaking is what made WW2 a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ CoD game.
You don't seem to have a grasp on what actually makes the game bad, seeing that half of your complaints about gameplay seem to be in the vein of saying "I wanted ♥♥♥♥ pacing and bad gunplay." At the same time, you praise games like BO3 or (supposedly) MW2, which were both incredibly poorly designed CoD games, featuring many of the issues you seemed to levy against WW2, such as infinite running, no recoil, and ♥♥♥♥ optimization. Make up your mind.
And not to mention, mostly all cod cost exactly the same price for several years, look at Bo2, bo3,IW, ghosts and AW, they all cost the same and those games are way worse than ww2, while ww2 isnt a very good game, its damn far better than these crappy games.
MW 2 has infinite running? I think not, no recoil? Weapons got recoil not much but it had recoil. ♥♥♥♥ optimization? I got way better FPS in mw 2 then in ww2, even with my old PC^. Bo 3, is way better optimized(144fps on highest settings not 60-70 like ww2), yes it got also bad weapon balance(brecci etc) but weapon balance is in every cod a problem, even if the shotguns are jsut too stupid op,and infninite running fits perfect to the playstyle of Bo 3, but not too a ww2 boots on the ground cod that should play slowy , look at waw that was agreat ww 2 cod shooter, or cod 2. I have grasp why the cod WW 2 is bad
- MW2 weapons all had less recoil than the weapons in WW2. Take the F2000, the highest recoil AR in MW2. It has a very similar recoil pattern to the M1941 in WW2, but it shoots a whopping 150rpm faster.
- MW2 is the most unfinished CoD to ever exist on PC. Anything bad that could happen in a port, happened in MW2.
- BO3 has the worst mouse input, required a PC tower as powerful as the Starship Enterprise to function like the other CoD games, and had design elements that did not cater to PC players in any way, shape, or form.
- The movement system in BO3 is a high-functioning gimmick. Barely useful in a gunfight, and made the player a massive target whenever he wasn't trying to boost up to the moon. Even with infinite sprint the game felt sluggish as all hell.
WW2, even with infinite sprint is one of the more sluggish CoD games to exist due to its map design, weak and unsatisfying gunplay, and latent player controls. The presence of infinite sprint doesn't affect bad pacing. That's just a typical scapegoat/excuse that CoD naysayers perpetuate because CoD "needs" more realism.
