Talking of weapons: the mp40 is total trash!

And this thing also got a buff......but eveytime i use this gun i feel like a soldier equipped with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PEASHOOTER!

The mp40 was always my favorite world war 2 weapon, but on this game acts like a garbage bag.

Let's talk about performances:
1: firerate is slow and unlike the fg42 assault rifle, dosen't have an increased damage due his penalty.
2: recoil control is awful, i don't understand how....a slow firerate gun can have such an hefty recoil. Even with a damn foregrip it jumps around like a drunken spastic monkey! And im talking of PC version of COD, on console recoil is way lighter than the pc version.
3: overall this gun is weaker than any avaiable smg of this game. Completely destroyed by a ppsh, foreshadowed by a sten (that have same stats of mp40, but his ligher recoil overcome all mp40's stats), butt whiped by the type 100, melted by an Orso and owned by m38 and sterling.

I even got the wunderwaffe II heroic variant of this thing.....i was so hyped but no.....is pure, geniune donkey dung. I think this is the worst weapon of the whole game (alongside with the pointless m1a1 carabine), this game is definitely not a spin off of world at war......

SHG can't decide what guns do what so there are nerfs and buffs all over the place. WaW was THE game for WW2 weapons. SHG's WW2 is more like a beta.
But, like a lot of people have, you may be seeing the effects of the worst servers known to mankind. So if thats the case then the gun may seem worse than it actually is.

I have the Wunderwaffe and I like using it. To me it seems more about a person's playing style when it comes to what weapons are "good". I hate all single shot weapons because I totally suck at using them but I see others that can destroy using the same weapons. I have a TON of hours in this game and don't have diamond camos on anything because certain weapons I'm just terrible at using. I've completed challenges on some of what I consider "lesser" weapons but I had to stick with them until I was better at controlling them. Certain maps are better suited to certain weapons as well. I'm also not that great of a player and have to hear comments from time to time because I'm master prestige and go negative quite often. I'm also 52 years old and my hand/eye coordination is slower lol.

I can guarantee it's really just you. The gun feels much more compatible as an SMG than most of the actual SMGs in this game. I'd say the only weapon in its class that's better than the MP40, is the Thompson.

Even more silly is your take on the M1A1. It's far from being the worst rifle. That spot is permanently reserved to the SVT/Type-5.

MP-40 has nothing but upward recoil, and it doesn't even have much of it....
It's one of the more damaging SMGs, it has a 3 shot range, mostly going to be a 4 shot, dropping off to a 5 shot.
It's ironsights are clean and really useable.
The RPM of the gun is way too high, considering what it can do.
And it's got one of the better hipfires.

It's a monster when you put Advanced rifling, Rapidfire, and Extended mag.
Literally one of the best SMGs in the game.

This game is not meant to be a SPIN OFF of WaW.
This is it's own game, totally different to WaW and doesn't tie into its story line in ANY way.

Also the M1A1 Carbine is a great gun.

u must be high, Mp40 is a beast and also m1a1 is like the best gun in the game. Try spending more time with a weapon and learn how to use it instead of writing up a big pointless discussion.

In my experience it's a solid all-around SMG. I have no difficulties aiming it precisely at long range even without a grip. With advanced rifling, it's pretty much as good as the STG. I use this thing all the time for situations like killing the MG gunner defending the bridge in operation breakout. I don't think I feel comfortable challenging that fight with any other SMG in the game.
