Fix For Direct X Crash
This gets rid of the device hung error in ww2

1. Simply go to your registry: Start --> Run --> Type in "Regedit" or search for Regedit
2. Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers" and create a key of type "DWORD (32-bit)" and name "TdrLevel" with a value of 0 as Decimal value.
3. Reboot and play :)

That can be the side effect of turning off tdr. Some people fixed the crash by fooling around with graphics settings.

All i did was set screen space reflectiions to normal, and al the crashes are gone. Everything else in the game at max.

Edit: Now with the fix it,s working 100% good and all graphics option to max.

did the registry change help you? Becouse from the looks of it, this "fix" has been more of a break than fix.

Yes it definiatly helped me, before the fix i had to set screen space selection as the only option to normal in order to play the game crash free.
And with this reg fix it solved that too!
Thanks for your solution! Well done!

If you don't trust this guide, like I'm a bit skeptical, you can fix this entirely with just tweaking your Graphics Settings for the time being until a patch is provided. The fix: set your Texture Resolution to High and set the 7 last graphics options to OFF in Advanced Settings. Cheers.
I came back to this game and this actually worked for me. The problem remains even in 2020...
