Weapon bind key question
is thre a way to take off long press / short press when binding weapon switch to keys? i just want a key bound to switch weapon that has no "wait" timer .

You can change the respond time on keyboard settings or do a macro for a spesific button on the keyboard, if you have that kida program for the keyboard. Use windows or keyboard program to change sensitivity for buttons.

Thanks for the response...My keyboard is capable of macro's and changing timings. However , I was wondering if the game's bind weapon change key can be defaulted like it is in the rest of the call of duty games.. click and change weapons no matter how long you held the key. In this game ... if change weapon is bound to the mouse wheel it works like it normally does. Bind weapon change to a specific key and that key now has 2 commands. Short press and long press. I believe the long press defaults to inspect weapon. Short press changes weapon. I'm hoping I can edit the .ini file some how to take of the long press command while changing weapons.

Weapon inspect is default X. You can change or have 2 keys/mouse buttons for same command. I dont have a long and short press. When i push or press the weapon change button, I change weapon, no matter how long i hold it. I have to push/press 1 more time to change again.
Are you sure your keyboard is set to reg. press long and short and deactivate those windows bullsh.it options for holding a button instead of push? That can be problem here. Windows use some sticky keys (i think it's called that) to enable functions if you hold them for a longer period. Those functions are not usfull when gaming, so i deactivated all of them and the function.

My sticky keys are turned off but yeah thats good solid advise. I think I've figured out the problem though. The game has some issues with high polling rates devices. I have 2 pc's with the Logitech G910 Mechanical keyboards that poll at 1000ms. Both of them act the same way in the game at 1000ms. When a key is bound to switch weapon, holding the key does not switch weapon , tapping the key does. If I change the polling on the devices to 500ms ... the bound change wepon keys switch weapons on both long and short presses. So the issue is how the game engine see's hardware devices that have the higher polling rates. Something was added to combat rapid fire and macros which affects devices that polls at 1000ms. I changed keyboards out to my Das which also polls at 1000ms and voila the keyboard bind bug shows up again. Oh well ... I guess I'll set up a custom profile for the game in my Logi software... either way problem solved ! Thanks for your response !
