Increase "Jolts per Zombie"

I noticed today that my juolts per zombie went down slightly. Does anyone know how to raise this back up?

stop using explosives, get more melee kills..i dunno

Depends, how were you killing them? If you were using the shovel heavy attack, that gives less points.
