If you are playing on a PC with mouse and keyboard, you will get as far as the tank mission (against the 2 Panzas) and swear off COD games forever.
It is not that the mission appears to be particularly hard, it is because the controls are so bad that the tank is near impossible to control.
Don't even start me on the final bunker (soldier) next part with the rifle and then his knife! The control system sucks in this troublesome and unnecessary part so perhaps the port to pc is just a money grabber but maybe okay on console platforms.
Who knows, however the graphics and story are as usual very enticing and impressive of course. I guess you just have to sort of partly ignore the visual and concentrate more on the keyboard itself!
If you're lagging on a decent machine it's issues with your PC be it software or hardware.
Decent machine is subjective.
That is just not the case, I have a "subjectively" decent machine, Ryzen 5 2600X, 32gb of ddr4 3600hrz corsair vengence pro ram, vega 64 gpu, 250gb m.2 nvme, 250gb ssd and 4tb WD black SE, on an Asus b450 TUF motherboard, with drivers updated. Maybe you just have better luck but the game runs like crap looking like 10-15fps at times - even when on medium settings for everything - at other times runs smoothly and it doesn't seem to matter when or where or what's happening on screen. I have NEVER had such issues with any other games on max settings let alone on lower settings, it's basically unplayable.
I must be missing what GPU you're using or you left it out but provided the GPU is around 1660super you should be good. If you're dropping to 10 fps your PC has issues
Tbh I get smooth gameplay including the beach, 2700x/gtx1070/64gb.

Not all that demanding
There is nothing wrong with my PC, if it works perfectly fine with quite literally every single other of the 400-500 games (3/4ths on steam most of the rest on GoG) I have all on ultra/maxium settings with all the bells and whistles including Metro Exodus, that I can even play on 1440p, and it is literally only this 1 single game that has major issues, then it sure as hell isn't to do with my PC.
The guru3d bench shows the vega 64 a hair behind the GTX1070 same as 1660ti, regardless, you're doing something wrong if your PC is lagging in codww2.
Believe what you want but facts say otherwise.
