N00b on CoD; can't get off the beach.

Hi all,

For the first time in years I tried CoD again. I tried the first versions with covered WW2 and as a "not shooter game person" I had a lot of trouble with that. But finally, I managed.

Now, this one; I can't get even through the first level, stepping out of the boat and trying to cross the beach. (Yes, I know......)

As I never play online (even with the racing games I do play much) I never had a problem setting up a help line. One could type in a code in the console and you could cross levels you had problems with.
That ruins the game; if you cant die, the game is useless. One could shut it off again when the hard part was over.

So I looked over the internet to do the same now and came to the conclusion:
- those are cheats
- heavily frowned upon to say the least
- is not possible anymore
- if you cant clear a level; you shouldn't play the game

Starting with the last one; I know I am the worst player ever, but am I not allowed to play the game in that case? Maybe not, but I do want to try.
But; a cheat is not the way to go!

But please; help me out of the beach level!
I read a lot; prone, hide....... I cant get anything to work for me :(
I already am using the easiest level.

Worst player ever? Yes I am, I'm sorry. But I do want to enjoy the game......
Is there a solution?

I understand that what I was looking for is considered a "cheat" and not be spoken off here; that's okay of course. I didn't mean it the way it was coming across.
But; I dont own the game anymore.

I don't believe GODMODE is available in this game. Look at it this way, if you haven't played Medal of Honor Allied Assault yet, do that first. That game also covers Operation Overlord and Omaha Beach is featured prominently in that game. It also requires maneuvering between tank traps and small sheltered mounds to get the bangalores up to the fences. Will you die? Yes, a lot. But when you FINALLY clear that beachhead and take the bunkers it will be immensely gratifying. So if you can survive Medal of Hono Allied Assalt's version of Omaha Beach you will also be able to survive Call of Duty WWII.

You are deluded if you think a dev will make it so you have to use some cheat in ANY game to progress.

After about 100 times I finely got of the beach, and was clearing bunkers just fine, then this a**hole popped up in a bunker and I was killed of course. and when resuming I got this symbol to push the "F" key so I did and died again, so next time I tried to repeatedly pressing it and died again. Are there some trick to this because my keyboard can't handle much more hammering of that "F" key.

I don't get what the problem is ? You keep saying that you can't cross the beach, yet at the same time you said (in the middle of your post) that you can't die... that doesn't make any sense.

Well I will just assume that you keep dying over and over again, which means you aren't taking cover. Watch a playtrough of the game too see how it's done.

It took me about a couple of dozen goes to get up the beach with a bit of health left to last until I got the first aid kit thrown to me.....as for the bunkers, I'm having the same problem as GiSSe.....That 5th bunker is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and each time you die, you respawn with that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ already having grabbed you.....my F key has also taken a hammering for all the good it does.....Any tips would be appreciated
