Game doesn't start / wants to run in safe mode / doesn't start either way

Hi,i have never experienced anything like this on steam before. I just cannot start COD WW2 no matter what i do.
The game just won't start. Only the small window with COD logo appears for a moment and then it dissapears and thats it. The game wont start.
Sometimes a popop shows if i want to run the game in safe mode but no matter if i choose yes, no or nothing, the game wont start.
I tried restarting PC, installing newest drivers, reinstalling them, reinstalling the game, verifying the game files, starting the game from desktop, from steam, from EXE file, i tried running it as admin and NOT running it as admin. I have tried everything for hours and hours and i just cannot start the game.
Can someone please help me?
I have WIN 10 64bit and i have no problems with the game hardware requirements.

What is your PC specs? I have met this issue with other games where when one of the PC components wasnt compatible with the game due to some software bug.

This same issue, just started for me. My system specs are as followed, Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, up to date as of 1/23/18. Intel i7-5930k, 16gigs of DD4 2666, two AMD 7970, Dell 4k Monitor (Running game at 1080p). I've tried verifying the game files, I've tried running the exe file as admin from the installation directory. I updated my GPU drivers to 18.1.1 and still get this never ending loop. I can launch COD Black Ops 3 without issues. All my HD's are SSDs and I've even tried disabling the monitor's setting that allows me to run it at 4k 60hz and change my desktop resolution to 1080p.

This is so dumb. Someone posted on another thread that if you open up and leave open your task manager and then start the game it will work. I'm doing this now and so far so good. Seems to be opening up the game.

Same issue, Brian is correct though leave your task manager open and it works fine.

Lucky, mine's still not opening... although my steam says I am in game even though I am not.

its the new update it screwed everything up, everything was fine untill the update on the 23rd, than ♥♥♥♥ went to hell.

Yes its new update, theire is a thing to do to run the game:

---> Just open task manager in background and launch the game.

Ive not even had chance to play the game, just start game and it does the safe mode message, and then does nothing :(

sorry little update, open task manager, clicked on processers so the menu is open and left task manager on veiw and ive finallly got it to load. Fingers crossed.,
