The campaign is hot trash
I beat the thing in like 6 hours, I also let it idle for an hour while I cooked, and died 10 or so times, meaning you could easily clear the thing in 4 hours. I'm so massively disappointed, the WAW campaign was incredible, I was hoping somewhere along those lines. The story comes to some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ climax where you kill some dude you know pretty much nothing about, and spend no time getting to know.
Multiplayer and zombies is amazing though, so money well spent. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this was easily the worst COD campaign out of them all.

The storyline was amazing, I wish it was a bit longer though + I've finished it on veteran in 9 hours.

Storyline was amazing? This is best joke ever.

Really week. It's very lazy. Just some random events different fight scenes and story is just how main character and few friends kills about 100 000 nazi and in the end world is peaceful thanks to them.
Ending was too happy, main character i diden't care and storyline was boring. What was this take s shot scene? Okay he was afraid to shoot bear because he was young and thanks to that his father died... but ending??? Just shoot 1 nazi commander (who we never seen or heard before in this game) can be compared with bear and then take a shot and game over.. wtf?

Call of Duty 4 had very good storyline, WW2 was just some random shooters kill nazi and makes no difference..

You must have played on console ?
If you did you are entitled to your view, if you played a cracked copy, do one.

The only WASTED part of the campaign is that P47 escort mission....really a disappointment.

The epilogue was tediously long, just to shoot one guy.

Still I must say the campaign and graphics is A OK....aside from Germans using Russian weapons and that weird Karabin gun instead of the G43. I swear the COD devs haven't done research on the guns used in western front of WW2.
Simple minds are hard to please. I find the campaign very good as long as you don't play it as a Call of Duty game. What I mean is take it slow, admire the beautiful level design, explore every corner, go achivement hunting, try to pass the stealth levels undetected, etc. I too wish it was a bit longer and I hope they give us new campaign DLC content to live up to the title. I heard one DLC will focus on the resistance across Europe, in Czechoslovakia and France in particular.

DLC on campaign?

MP or SP?

I just hope they make all headshots one shot kills in SP at least...its kinda weird the enemy surviving 3 LMG rifle rounds to the head...

Yeaup, I played on regular. The campaigns aren't enjoyable at higher difficulties because they literally just reduce the time it takes for the AI to auto-lock onto you, and also reduce the time between that auto-lock on and then shooting. Besides, I'm more interested in the story telling. You already get hudnreds of hours of 'shoot everything' in multiplayer, campaign should be the chance for them to stretch their legs, introduce different gameplay, tell a story, and make you feel something.
The flying mission was pretty cool, and the stealth mission where you play that woman, but the rest of it was (by far) the worst single player COD in history. Completely unintersting, and horrible voice acting.

I liked it, took me 9 hours on veteran.

Story only gets going around the 4 hour mark but once it does the only set back is the tank mission. The stealth missions are great.

+1

Same here!

Running and gunning this game in six hours (perhaps skipping the videos?!) is the wrong way to play it...

Sorry, wrong target audience... ;-)
