No health regen?

Is it true that there's no health regen or is that in multiplayer only?

You carry up to 4 health packs you apply when you need them.

So the stuff I have read about no health regen is only for multiplayer then?

So, I was reading on PCGamer that you have to stay near a medic because, once you're shot, you're shot, and your health doesn't automatically regen - you have to get it from the medic. Correct?
