Direct X Error Help!!!
Hello everyone, I am asking for help on a specific error that I have been receiving every time I play COD: WWII

Here is what the error message says:

"DirectX Error
Direct X encountered an unrecoverable error.
For assistance visit http://www.callofduty.com and click Support.
Error information:
IDXGISwapChain :: Present failed: The GPU device instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemovedReason to determine the appropriate action.
GetDeviceRemovedReason returned DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG"

Here are the specifications for my system
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.5 GHz
GPU: Nvidia (EVGA) GeForce GTX 1070 Superclocked 8GB
Memory: 8GB Corsair LPX DDR4 @2666 MHz
Storage: 1TB Seagate Barracuda AND 120GB SanDisk SSD
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

I can completely understand if its because of the game being unoptimized due to it being out for only 4 days.
I have the latest Driver from NVIDIA which as of now (11/6/2017) is Version 388.13 which was geared towards better optimization for said game.
Additional issues is major game stutter with massive performance dips with a few seconds or minutes of somewhat smooth game play.
I highly appreciate any help that I can receive and will provide more information if needed.

Thank you.

Same problem, tried every "solution" from lowering graphics to running safe mode and nothing works. Keep getting the same directx error in SP right at the beginning of first mission and on MP.
If anyone has another solution please share.
Hope this gets fixed soon or else refund because it's unplayable.

Same problem since Nov 3rd, day it came out.
No word that they intend to fix the problem or even comment on it.

On another pc I have I found that if you play in just windowed mode you can play the game.

If you tried verifying locale files in steam, and still have this problems. There are some more steps to try. Reinstall GPU driver (uninstall it first) and do a clean install. Clear Browser catche and Download catche in steam settings. DL-catche restarts steam and you have to put in name and password again. Make sure you have this ready. Also reinstalling of Vcredist and DXsetup can be done to see if some of this files are corrupted. You find them in ww2 programfolder/ _CommonRedist and subfolders. Restart after install of every file.

I already tried it and it did not help! I have a few games installed on this configuration (Battlefield 1, Wolfenstein 2) and they work without problems! The funniest thing is that the COD WII multiplayer also works fine.
NVidia just released a new Game Ready Driver, Testing it out now to see if it fixed anything.

It maybe ur 8gb of ram, usually 16gb would be enough for any cod games.
I was able to play Black ops 3 with just 8 gb RAM just fine. But I ordered another 8gb to be safe.
