Why Peer-to-Peer and not dedicated servers?
Peer-to-Peer system and no dedicated servers is a cheater magnet and developers know it but they dont care since it is easier and cheaper for them.

Now they have to face the fact that players that wont accept cheaters in their game wont buy it.

Dedicated servers and punkbuster worked like a charm. Only negative with it was that some good players were voted out but it is a small price to pay for a cheater free game. Players themself had the power to act ingame during a game session as it should be.

Not using dedecated servers is telling their community we dont care about cheaters, we only care about selling the game.

What are you talking about? This game supports a lot of dedecated servers for most countrys. Ww2 doesnt even have p2p in general. Maybe watch a video like this https://youtu.be/R9iRFkGhze8

The "no dedicated servers" lie has been here since MW3. Can people just do some research? Just because you can't host your own or browser servers, doesn't mean they're not there.

Ingame it is players themself that host a game session which opens up for cheaters.

Early on CoD had dedicated servers which allowed punkbuster to be used, today it cant cause of the peer-to-peer system they use. It is a developer choice. Instead they use the worthless VAC anti cheat that is laughable at best.

Removing the power from players to allow cheaters to be voted off the game session is one major reason why they sell so poorly for being a AAA game.

Old CoD players like me wont fall for their lies without developers insuring us there is a working anti cheat system worth the name, VAC is not that.

They're not "lies"; anyone with Wireshark installed and running in the background can see there are outgoing connections going to dedicated servers. No need to take the developers' word for it because we can find out ourselves.

Not that this comment matters; I've said it many times and the lie that there's no dedicated servers are still spread by people who know nothing about the subject.

No way this game uses servers, with that lag in every 3rd game

It's a hybrid. Dedicated servers are priority, but if there are none available or you live far from the datacenters, it reverts to P2P. That doesn't mean there are no dedicated servers.

You didnt even watch the video or? You host nothing! (Except you live in hole in afganistan). You can proof this very easy. I play 100% of time on a dedecated server hosted by gameservers.com

I was playing Call of Duty: WWII yesterday on PS4 and it went into Host Migration which is whenever the host is being redetermined and has been around ever since CoD 4. Never ran into host migration on Battlefield 4 because why? They actually have dedicated servers. Sledghammer decided to ditch dedicated servers because this is a Call of Duty game and a Call of Duty game wouldn't be complete without lag or host migration.

P.S. Suuuuuuuuure "temporarily" ditching dedicated servers I"m totally 100% sure they will be back and that Sledgehammer Games won't just forget about this game in a year (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

CoD has dedicated servers, just not all the time. Scan your outgoing connections while playing matches and you'll find out yourself.
