COD: WW2 won't launch (Running, Syncing and then, nothing)
Hello guys,

I have a big problem with the game.

When I installed it some days ago, I wasn't able to play. When I tried to launch the game, Steam said the game is running, then syncing and nothing happened.

Then, I do not know why, it worked. And today, it doesn't work, it's stille Running, Syncing and then nothing.

What can I do to fix it ? I already tried to uninstall/install Redistribuable, DirectX. I also checked local game files, nothing seems working.

Thanks,

No you do not read comments, I veryfied the games files using steam and it advised I had 29 games files that needed to be reinstalled.

PROBLEM Steam did not reinstall the files and the game would not even start until the 29 were repaired.

So Genius! what would you do instead of being a critic?

Some good news, for me the reinstall worked a treat games starts and plays, a bonus I thought I would loose all the previuos stages I had completed and would have to start again, but No! game progress was intact.

The reinstall was my last and only option had there been another way I would have done it but reinstalled over night so didn't loose much time back to ACO now :steamhappy:

I have found a solution: all you have to do is go into the library, right click the game and go into properties. There, go to local files, and click verify integrity of game files. Then, there should be a few loading bars, the game will update, and voila, it works!

Only about four times.

Update: After I went into the redist folder and installed the directx update and the vcredist updates, and rebooted a couple times, and swore in two different languages, AND THEN unchecked "run as administrator" on the singleplayer exe, it finally started. Been at it since 1am, it's 8am now, finished the third mission and I'm off to bed. Best of luck.

tl;dr: It seems if you stick to it and try a bunch of stuff, it will eventually run. Might help if you just initially offer your first born to Satan though.

In case anyone, as I was up until yesterday, has not been able to get this figured out, here is what I did that worked:

1 - Try and run either of the sp exes in the main folder
2 - Look at each of the errors you get. I got some missing .dll files
3 - Google and download each of the .dll files that are missing, and put them in the folder
4 - Afterwards, I ran the sp exe again, and I got a different error. BUT, steam them proceeded to redownload the game files, and after it completed the game launched as it should.

Hope this helps.
