Can you play the Singleplayer without downloading the Multiplayer?

So i downloaded the SP first, i thought i can play this while downloading the MP...
but i get an error message.
WTF is the point of offering SP and MP in two downloads if u cant use SP withouth downloading the MP client....-_-
So i cant play today.

I'm using SP just fine and I haven't downloaded the MP.

I get the message when i click on the Singleplayer icon. (complete downloaded):
"Spiel mit mehrfach genutzten Inhalten konnte nicht gestartet werden. Bitte aktualisieren sie zuerst folgende Spiele: Cod WW2 - Multiplayer"
English: "Mixed-use game could not be started, please update the following games first: Cod WW2 - Multiplayer"

You have to 1. download SP, then 2. start the download for MP. Then 3. uninstall MP again and then you can play SP. (thats how I did it)

I was able to SP without downloading MP but after i put MP for downloading . They are not letting me play SP now
