s2_sp64_ship.exe APPCRASH error
SP wont launch, getting this error and windows dialog box says the program stopped working. have updated steam client, latest graphics drivers, restarted everything multiple times, run as admin, etc......nothing works. cant find any info like this online. wtf is going on

also trying to start in safe mode doesnt do anything either.

-What's your spec and driver version?
-Have you tried lowering down CPU & GPU Clock Speed?
-What Windows Operating System and Build Version are you using?

s2_sp64_ship.exe APPCRASH error Same, non-overclocked. Rebooted/Verified/Updated Graphics drivers. Win7 Ultimate. I have the recommended Specs.
Will have spash screen, sometimes offer Safe Mode, but it still crashes to desktop.

install windows update KB2670838-x64, and it works!
sorry for lack of specs. nvidia geforce gtx 780 (yeah yeah i know, but it meets games requirements no problem still), win 7 ult 64 bit SP1, 16gb ram. not overclockked on anything
i try installing the KB2670838 update, and it says it is already installed on my computer, so im good there. i am in the process of reinstalling the game now to see if anything changes.

Do you have an anti virus running? As i've seen this problem in past COD games when the exe isn't added to the exceptions list and the anti virus blocks it causing it to crash.

no AV. other games run fine. i have spybot S&D but its not much of an anti virus, doesnt really block anyting. never had to add a game to an exceptions list before.
