Also good points brought up in this thread Sunman. This whole charade has certainly turned me off from this game as a whole. And it had such promise, too.
Thank you! I totally agree.
Its not realism its authenticity i can suspend reality to believe this small point is important, however it's much harder to believe that a woman with a drum mag on wrong thompson with a silencer is rushing a building in berlin with the wrong insignia on flags. About the whole respect I find it more disrepectful to try to censor nazi ideas and insignia, thats along the line of denying it never happened or attempting to forget. We must remember and embrace all history good and bad as there is much to learn and remember from it.
You contradict yourself in the very first part of your post. Is that what you meant about another Lie?
First you say These weapons miss the mark of authenticity all of these include prototype parts and modifications that were extremely rare and impossible to find
Then you say :Even so sledgehammer misses important used weapons such as the De Lisle carbine: While your link telss us about The De Lisle carbine
"Few were manufactured as their use was limited to specialist" you cant complane they use rarely used add ons and modifications then say they should put rarley used guns
The point is the more rarely featured weapons were still more common and were historically correct, for example the thompson's drug mag used in gameplay footage was only functional with the M1928 version of the weapon. My suggestion was that it would be more believable and true to the world war 2 setting to include little known weapons for specialized roles instead of incorrectly modding and bending the roles of other weapons. The whole point is that if realism had to be sacrificed for gameplay a better way of doing it would be using different weapons not attachments.
Exactly, could not word it better!
