BOYCOTT PROPOSAL with valid reasons
I declare an official boycott of Call of Duty: WWII based on SHG censoring historical appearances of the German forces and adding female infantry in combat uniforms after assuring Historical Accuracy

We've all seen the trailers and screenshots by now; the Nazi Swastika and other WW2 German military symbols have been replaced with crosses and more WWI-esque military symbols. The German uniforms have had their uniforms altered and look nothing like a German WWII combat uniform would be decorated.

It does not matter how offended German customers or SJWs are; Call of Duty got along just fine showing the appearance of historically accurate swastikas on uniforms and flags from 2003-2010. The post-modern SJW culture should have no impact on the assurance of CoD fans getting a historically authentic visual depiction and experience of the second world war.

Here is a quick quote from furiousfanboys to sum it all up without having to repeat what's already been said:

Ironically, Sledgehammer Games has spent the last three months months talking about how historically accurate the game is going to be. In an interview back in April, founder Glen Schofield actually said, “That was one of the important things, getting all the details right. To me, a game is a toy. What we’re creating is art. ‘Game’ doesn’t feel deep enough for what we make nowadays. They used to be more and more game-like. Now they’re story-driven, emotion-driven, all sorts of things. It’s an evolution of the art.” All of the details for Schofield were important, except for what the Nazis actually looked like during World War II.

What we are getting with SHG's censorship is an illegitimate portrayal of WW2, not a promised historically accurate one. The swastika was the symbol of the main Axis faction, and American women military roles were supportive ones based on arms producion, office work, etc...

====================================================================
I already see the sarcastic posts with accusations of complaining over small details or having obsessions with the swastika and an all-male war. Let me remind those ignorami that SHG made a point in their interview of GETTING ALL THE DETAILS RIGHT. If SHG has thrown that under the bus, it is appropriate to complain.
====================================================================

Therefore, a boycott of Call of Duty:WWII has been called.

Even if you got 500 people, it wouldn't matter.

Yeah I won't buy because they lied about it being accurate, next there will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ soldiers and maybe some muslims in the german army too. Might as well give the germans a rainbow flag while your at it don't wanna offend anybody because reasons. The US army would not let women serve as soldier and segregation wa in place so no balcks could fight alongside whites. I'm saying we need to see the US had problems too just like the germans and it deserves to be a part of it. All those problems are fixed in the current day so we need to see how silly they were back then even if it offends and pisses people off just my opinion. If you are gonna insult me or call me racist etc at least make it funny.

They also blackwashed the german army. Yes, you can play as a black nazi. Have the devs lost their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind??

Half-censorship is still half as bad a regular censorship, im not pre-ordering do the innacurate forced diversity of the multiplayer mode along with the unbelievable weapon attachments and mods, seriously a full auto luger and a red dot bar, and a Thompson with drum mag and silencer. This combination would ruin immersion, WAW did this great with believable weapons characters something this game is falling short on.

I was looking forward to the game as well, after today's gameplays with german female soldiers shouting all over the place = I'll pass this stupid game for sure.

What's puts this game more to shame is how the new wolfenstein game, which is set in a fantasy time line, gets the look of the nazis right! While this game, set in a historical time line, gets it horribly wrong!

@Rawfire I totally agree, CoD:Ww2 is trying to do to many things and it's getting mixed up.
SnortsALot Jun 14, 2017 @ 12:57pm
how about just wait until the game comes before you purchase it.
SHGames did not support PC last time with AW, it was a cheaters free for all.
What makes anyone think SHGames will support WWII this time.

It's good, but weaklings especialy console ones will mastrbate on this game and there are tons of them.
Only commenting to say that it shouldn't just be historical accuracy.
It should also be for the inclusion of loot boxes and for backstepping in progress from COD: WaW Which came out just shy of ten years ago and has more in game mechanics.

On June 6, 1944: The American, Canadian, French and British armed forces accounted for most of the forces engaged at the start of the Battle of Normandy.

Of the 156,115 soldiers landed or parachuted on June 6, 1944, 59,000 were American, 73,000 English and 21,400 Canadian.

20 000 civilians perished during the fighting (mostly victims of bombing of the cities by the allies)

At the end of the fighting, the German army will count the loss of 10,000 soldiers (killed, wounded or captured)
______________________________________________________________________

Historically: changing the story (uniforms, decorations or flags) only for the German army is nonsense in this game.

It is a total nonsense to change a German decoration such as the Iron Cross (Swastica) awarded to the German soldier for bravery in combat identical to other decorations given to soldiers of other nations (British, American, Canadian, Russian, Italian .. )

The other uniforms of other nations in the game were more accurate. German uniforms were the ones excluded from historical accuracy.
