Nope depending on how this game goes story wise it looks really good surpised the PC police have yet to hound it an Eastern Front story should be done because. It is cool we get another Western Front story in Europe but almost every WW2 game is about this front. Lets go some where that is rarely ever done be it the Eastern Front of the Soviet-German clash or the Marines in the Pacific beating back Imperial Japan.

I guess you missed COD 1, 2, 3, WAW, plus MOH Rising Sun, Pacific Assualt, BF1942 and the 2 expansion packs.

Talking about an all Eastern Front only no jumping between fronts. Not some game that has half of missions on Western Front then other half on the East but solely sits on the Eastern Front.

Technically the SU won the war nearly on their own. Even without DDay, they would have won. Maybe not by April '45, but a couple of months later.

Not saying the lives of the soldiers of the other nations were wasted - they all did their duty to bring down Nazi Germany. The BIGGEST burden was carried by soviet soldiers.

That's why I'd like to see a soviet campaign as well. If it's not part of the vanilla game, I hope for an expansion adding it.

Hitler and Tojo were not communicating and Hitler was already planning to declare war on the US. The Western Allies did keep a lot of German troops busy on two fronts while the USSR fought on the Eastern Front. If Germany had defeated the UK and had a clear Western front, the war in the East could easily have ended very differently. The USSR didn't win on its own, it was a group effort. Without the Lend-Lease act and General Winter, Moscow would have fallen and the USSR with it. Germany screwed up at Stalingrad by going for the city instead of going around and cutting off support. The city would have fallen quickly and Germany would have been free to take the southern oil fields. This has already been discussed and proven. Tjhe Soviets did bear a huge burden, but their own military policies did as much damage tot heir own troops as the Germans did.

Kind of... hypocritical, that the game is titled WWII only to be set during the battles between the Americans and the Germans. I guess the title is misleading as a whole to a lot of aspects about the game.

Agreed. Granted, Call of Duty 3 did similar things by focusing on the Battle of Normandy and giving us 4 Western Allied perspectives (US, Britain/French Marquis, Canada, and Poland), but like ou said that didn'thave "WWII" in the title.

Though I could see a similar treatment working for the Eastern Front. (Soviet, Polish, Czech. Yugoslav (?))

Call of Duty 3 wasn't bad at all then...

I just hope there will be at least DLC campaigns. This would truly make the game one of the bests because of the title.

if it werent for allied bombing russia would have lost the war, only reason they won was due to their manufacturing power, until allied bombing of German Industy, Germany was able to produce a BF109 fighter every 15 minutes, to this day it is the most produced military aircraft in history, if they had been able to keep up their weapons and vehicle production along with their synthetic fuel production and their oil refineries, which was the Nazi War Machine's downfall, the lack of fuel mostly after bombing of their oil refineries and synthetic fuel plants. not to mention the Lend Lease, allowing Russia to mobilize its army with Trucks and Motorcycles rather than Horse and Buggies, if it werent for UK and US, Russia would have lost the War. if either the UK or US or USSR didnt contribute, just 1 of those superpowers (mostly US and USSR) the war would have been lost,

Oh yey, another Land-Lease dummy... ONE MORE TIME! Russians paid 4 it. And just 4 fun find out how many T-34 tanks had they produced during the whole war. (62 thousand in only 2 modifications) Land Lease geve them 11 thousand US tnaks in a row. The most useful and tasty delivery was jeep. It was 400.000 jeeps delivered all in all.


5,24 million nazis died on eastern front and 5,45 captured as prisoners. Feel free to observe this on any resourse. So, imagine the road of 6.2 thousand of miles build of dead bodies. It's like a bridge from China to San Francisco. And that is only nazis...

My point is not to f*ck around with you trying to persuade you that americans did nothing @ western front. (They bombed Dresden till the ground floor btw, most industrial city in Germany if you didn't know, lol) Russians've lost in that war much more than you can imagine even in your spooky dreams. Tha's why they are so obsessed if sombody doesn't mention the Red army and Soviet nation income in this victory.

U know so little about this war, especially about Eastern front. Btw, how many of you knew that russians fought japaneese forces in China?
