can devs put in a difficulty that we can select from in this game that gives us more time on quests when set to normal or easy?
100% agree. I've restarted several times due to not being able to earn the money in time (or something else ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up) and its just making the game feel like a chore rather than a challenge.
Apart from that, I tend to agree: the daughter illness-thing changes the whole focus of the game into a mad race against time.
And considering I could sell the apple I bought at $720 for a measly $68, I'd guess that trying to hope on being a dealer of illicit fruits and pants is not, in fact, a very profitable endeavor.
I haven't got a damn clue how to come up with that kind of money. It's kinda looking like the whole family just is supposed to die. That way at least I'd have more time to spy on the other tenants.
I wonder... If your wife dies, does that mean you no longer have to pay for groceries or utilities? Hehehe.
yup it takes away the freedom you felt like you had with the first hour of the game and becomes a chore fighting against time.
im sure the devs can give us an option to tone this down with a difficulty if enough of us request it.
We will think about adding difficulty levels to the game.
Not sure if the son gets kicked out of school if you don't talk to him though. Really though, that's gaming the system and... Kinda bad.
As far as cameras go, I suppose you could do that, sure... I guess if you already know when and where people are going to perform illegal activities, you don't need to set up decent cameras all over the place. I tend to at least try and keep an eye on people, but with the exorbitant cost of almost-useful cameras, I suppose there's not really much point in trying.
I managed to install the cheapo cameras in all the fixtures for 4 apartments one time, but those cameras are remarkably useless, especially in certain apartments where the angles are inexplicably different from those found elsewhere.
Yes, that's 3K. You could get 5K more from a girl that you bring to a doctor. But which one and how - please, manage it yourself as that would be a big spoiler.
Spoiler alert:
Kick Schimmer out by finding the illegal book his wife has. You will receive the government reward from that.
Take the box from Dalton. There is a gun inside. Give it to Dora and after she's jailed, she will give you the inheritance.
Don't blackmail or get into agreement with Doctor's girlfriend. Don't tell doctor she's not who she is.
You should have 15k by now if you don't buy the radio for wifey and buy blue ties before it becomes illegal.
Don't talk to the university student that was supposed to have the box. Delay his quest because you need to blackmail him for the money.
The Ranek's moves out and you are fined 3k for stealing archive documents.
Doctor gets married. Send a report during the wedding, then talk to doctor. He will give you the cruise tickets.
Sell the cruise tickets for 5k.
Blackmail doctor and university student with blue ties.
There you go. 20k with 800 to spare.
