On the other hand, my Prophet which was using Spellbreaker/Spellshock for levelling up, did take a long time to take him down, but it was possible.
It's like a lot of things in TQ: Heavily dependant on builds.
he's in like a lvl 12 area. there are no "builds" at that point.
Yes and no.
My very first try, I struggled and died alot.
Subsequently, depending which class/combination and how they're leveled, Ive both struggled against and destroyed Shadowmaw easily.
One class that did pretty well was my Bow Avenger. I think my Thunderer as well and my Paladin.
My classes that struggled included my Assassin(the aforementioned first character) and Ranger.
So, yes, it depends on build.
Even though I'm not really a veteran of this game, I can definitely say builds do exist by then.
There are enough various skills available across all the masteries by then, that you have plenty of options. 11*3=33 skill points, and there is a quest prior to then that gives one as well, so you should have 34 skill points to work with. Thats enough to gain access to any base skill in a mastery tree. And it only takes a couple of base skills to get a build going in these style of games. So bout the only way you wouldn't have a build of some sort developing, is if you've just been putting every skill point gotten up til then into the base mastery or masteries for extra stats.
But with as hard as Shadowmaw hits, its basically just a challenge mob as another said.
