Spell piece in Apollo Cave

How do you get the spell piece in Apollo cave,
U-Tube shows a stairway, but I can't find it.
and what do you do with the spell pieces?

No sure what staircase you are talking about or the YT video, but you need to go into the right side cave and hit the switch around the 90 degree bend (kind of blend into the background) and then go to the left side cave across the map and get the spell piece
