How do we get steam mods to work

I clicked on the mods that I want to subscribe to and then start playing Titan Quest. How do I know if they are working?

You go to custom game and should kick you back to menu and pick a character and start game.

Depends on the mod itself. All will need to be downloaded - just subscribing does nothing except gain access to a mod - and installed in My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\CustomMaps Once that's done as Blueberry said go into the game and choose Custom Game, select the mod you want to play and then either make a new character to play the mod with or, if it's a bounce mod, it'll send you back to your vanilla character list to choose one.

OK I have clicked on the mods that I want in steam- and it says "subscribed." HOWEVER there doesn't seem to be a way to download any of these. What am I missing?

Without knowing which mods you're trying to get I can't say.

After subscribing, it should just download automatically. It should appear at the center-bottom of your Steam window.

Yes it does download.. Do I just click on "Play Titan Quest?"

No, you need to click on Custom Game

When playing modded multiplayer for say a spawn rate mod, does everyone need to have the steam mod downloaded and gone through the same way?

Yes, as far as I know. Certainly all need to have the same mod installed and be using it.

Lately I've had the best luck getting a mod to work using the Custom option

Well, you can't get a mod to work in any other way. Always have to select Custom Game to be able to play a mod, even if it's a bounce one.
