best mods?

That is subjective to everyone and would help to know what type you are looking for so people can help.

Are you looking for a complete overhaul of the game, new areas to go, new skills, l00t+ (so you get more drops), customization?

fun new class,more loot something to make this game feel more modern and less a boring grind fest.

There are loot+ mods to choose from if you want a little more drops or a lot more (won't link any since there are a bunch to choose from).

I would recommend trying out the classes before checking out other classes people make with new skills, but I still have yet to really play any since I like the classes and skills still and farming every item for new interesting builds (some don't work but are still fun to make and try out).

There really isn't all that much on the Steamwork (at least for me or I have played them a long while ago and might try again at some point).

I know the Diablo 2 mod is outdated and not sure if it works on the Steam workshop anymore but I'd recommend trying to find that one or see if it works still.
