But I found it. First you need to clear the floor, avoiding the red blasts that Serene throws at you.
Then Paul with start to throw NUKES at you. What youhave to do is run and hide behind the pillars, so it doesn't hit you, but hit HIM.
If you're not protected Jack will scream "no no no no".
After the nuke hits Paul, he will be vulnerable to your gunfire.
The second wave is stronger, with worst blasts, but goes the same way.
Clear enemies, hide from time nukes, shoot Paul after he hits himself.
1. KEEP MOVING!
2. Shotguns are your friend
3. NO MELEE, it slows you down and opens you to Serene's relentless blasts
4. If you see red, RUN, and just hope you do not run to the epicenter of his attack
5. Try to be frugal with the Time Dash, try not to run it out, so as to always have some when you need it!
6. TIME SHIELD, this helped a lot
7. Time dodge into enemies and fire shotgun to usually one shot them
8. After wave, Paul picks one corner of the arena to set a GIANT blast. RUN to opposite corner
9. And the most important one, this the one that kept me getting killed... STAY AWAY FROM THE HEAVY TROOPER, he is equipped with a mobile nullifier, and he get you killed if you get too close.
After playing it like this, I would dare say it was quite fun. Hope it helps anyone!
After the fourth enemy is killed, Paul will go to the middle of the room, say a few words, then place a mine with a blast that will fill about half the room. As soon as he places it, time dash to the other end of the room. The camera will deliberately screw you over by focusing on the mine and making it hard to aim, so you may have to run TOWARD the camera part of the way. After the blast goes off Paul's shield will drop and you can shoot him to trigger the second wave.
For the second wave, keep running laps around the pool continually or you'll die pretty much instantly. Don't stop, don't reverse direction. If you're getting shot too much, drop a time shield to cover your back and heal a little, but don't stand inside it, keep running. The red flashing isn't a good indicator of where or when Paul's blasts will go off- the floor turns red pretty much everywhere and lingers a long time both before and AFTER the actual blast, so instead pay attention to the sounds of the blasts, and if you need to kill any enemies or grab ammo, try to do it right after a blast so you're less likely to get caught in the next one. If you're lucky, most of the enemies including the big guy with the negation field will get taken out by the blasts eventually and you'll only need to kill one or two yourself. After that, Paul will drop the mine again- this time THREE mines in a row, so be sure to always be running away from them, using time dash or time rush when possible. Once you evade them, you'll be able to shoot him again, and luckily there isn't a third wave!
What an abrupt ending as well. So many questions unanswered.
You need to understand Paul's attack. Periodically he creates a glowing orb right behind your back. When that happens, you will see an orange glow on your back. Run away. After a few seconds the orb explodes dealing damage if you're too close. It also leaves a glowing crater for a few seconds but it's completely harmless, you can even walk through it. Paul will then wait for a while and repeat the attack.
Important: During the attack there are red ripples on the floor - ignore them, they are more confusing than useful. Sometimes it even looks like there are some other explosions in front you but it's just an illusion.
Combat tactics:
Hell no. I understood what to do at the early beginning. Still took me 30+ tries.
