[Official] Tips and tricks
Some tips for the early adopters. Feel free to suggest more in this theme. We'll create a small guide from this topic later.

Tactical points
  • Each enemy has it's price. Killing it will give you TP based on enemy's price. You'll gain much more TP from stronger enemies.
  • Hardcore and Infinite modes will give you tons of tactical points.
  • Complete optional objectives to increase TP gained from level.

Resources management
  • Keep as much engineers as possible inside buildings in order to maximize food, material and medicaments flow.
  • Upgraded engineer produces more resources
  • Use improvements to maximize building's resource output
  • You can't produce people in this game ;) They can be only found hiding inside buildings.

Scavenging
  • Scouts and Engineers are good scavengers, but engineers are completely helpless in combat.
  • Don't forget to auto-scavenge
  • Use overlays to locate resources. Especially later in the game.

Military
  • AT units are good against armored units like ultrazombies.
  • Avoid keeping too much units in one place - many enemies do area damage
  • Infantry is good when there are lots of buildigns around
  • Vehicles are weaker than turrets, but they can be easily relocated.
  • Turrets and Vehicles need more materials but fewer people than infantry

Specials
  • Upgrading unit will not only increase it's fire power, but also special ability power. Like dynamite damage, slowing power etc..
  • Upgrading General also increases firepower of airstrikes and other faction specials.

Environment
  • Buildings can be destroyed with dynamite special ability, airstrikes or by any unit that has "Structure damage" (like artillery or AT infantry)
  • You can always destroy bridges in order to slow down enemy advancement
  • Destroying building with cocoon inside will cause severe biohazard polution. Use infantry for killing cocoons instead.
  • Radiation harms zombies. But try to stay away from it too.
  • Weather is very important. It can influence battle a lot. So read tooltips in the top-right screen for more info.
  • Turrets are immune to fog.
  • Units in water are almost immune to fire.

And the main rule
There's no identical battlefields. Each battlefield requires it's own faction configuration. Try, combine and succeed.

How does one actually destroy a building? like the mission to destroy the contaminated factory. I have my units in the building but cant figure out how to destroy it

Your Scouts ability is Dynamite. Click the icon and then left click where you want them to throw the explosive. It's going to take multiple uses though. I still haven't beaten it yet.

how is TP at mission completion calculated? while getting a % bonus for completed objectives is good to know, I am unsure as to what we do ingame that allocates TP or is it just a set number per mission?

It's right click. And units need to be outside. I suggest trying to throw dynamite at neutral buildings at first so that you know how it works. When trying on contaminated factory units may die due to contamination while you are trying to figure out how to throw it. Buildings are usually destroyed with only 1 dynamite if you level up your squads.

Marksmen squad also can use this ability.

I have a question. Is it possible to increase a number of circles that determine how many unlocks you can take into a mission, or is it always 15? I see that some unlocks in Perks section have negative cost, so they can be used to kinda increase the amount. But is it possible to increase the base amount?

Awesome thanks, after posting this I tried again and found the dynamite but my guys where inside the building and would not use it. Info helped thanks.
Acquisition TP is not reduced?
I TP that can be acquired in a survival mode, it has become less than one-fifth of the time of 1.05.

Nope, it's quite linear. More powerful monsters mean more TP.

I wouldn't underestimate upgrading engineers and placing as many engineers in your Base
Black Hammer 21 aug, 2016 @ 16:56
What exactly is EP? I didn't see it explained anywhere. I had assumed it gave you more points to spend on upgrades (not tac points, the yellow circle ones), but that doesn't seem to be the case.
King Squishems 21 aug, 2016 @ 21:05
hey, was wondering how, if at all, you can get more command points? I dont think we should have enough to have everything enabled at once, but it seems to be extremely limited right now...
KaidenOZ 21 aug, 2016 @ 21:08
well i think its ok how it is, you need to choose your force for mission needs, addes a lot i feel to the game then just being able to recruit anything you have unlocked at any time.

imagin having access to all the bombs and off map support all the time, be a liottle op.
