All yeah, I've been talking about pushing back the date on Discord and Twitch for some time. Haven't been checking this page as much. Finally got around to updating things today. Aiming for early 2018.
It's not so much a push back as just a realization that there was way more work than I had expected. Save system, UI, and localization were way more complicated to implement than I originally imagined.
Also, anytime after September isn't great for releasing indie games. You get too close to holiday season, which means big AAA releases and a lot of journalists and platform staff are on vacation. I could get the game out December, but that would be a bad launch period.
Fingers crossed. There are a few things outside of my control, so won't know for sure until those are settled.
I can assure you all that the game is very much in development. The game is made by a very small team (I am the only person working full-time), and we have very limited resources.
You can find updates for the game on twitter , youtube , and twitch [www.twitch.tv] (where I stream development almost daily).
I prefer to post here when I have major announcements (new trailer or release date, etc). We are currently in the final stages of development (securing funding, fixing bugs, design of final area), and I do not have the time to post here as frequently. There is also a lot of news that is under NDA which I'm unable to share.
