This legacy of a game used to be amazing, but after a very long series of bad decisions, it blends into the identity of it's competition, choosing to want your money over delivering an original fun experience. Everything will either be extremely hard to grind for, or will force you to spend money.
This game will not last long, or if it does, it will not be the same.

• Instead of "make it yourself" it becomes "have something do it for you" with the new AI (also paid for with a $2 day pass)
  
• Want more quests? You aren't getting anymore. There has not been any since 2017 and it will stay that way.
  
• They don't want you playing the game unless they get something out of you, and if they don't? You'll be miserable playing what feels like a trial of a game.
  
• They cater to their player base of anyone under 12, despite having junior accounts, no one will use them

I used to love creating on there, but with the announcement of Rooms 1 being deprecated, I had no motivation, as Rooms 2 is buggy and honestly doesn't work well with the majority of players being on mobile
Yes, despite this game being mainly a VR game, you will find more mobile players than VR players

I loved this game to death, only to actually watch it die.

Rec Room (formerly Against Gravity) has completely lost touch with their community, failing time and time again to deliver on quality updates. Moderation is failing, room quality is going down severely, and they are pushing AI room creation, making the problem even worse. On top of that cosmetics are completely overpriced beyond anything you can earn in game.

I do really like this game, but over the years the game has just gotten so corrupt and the developers so greedy, Its hard to have nearly as good a time as before, I can't say I hate it, and I do still play it, but if you want a game where things are fair and you aren't temped to waste money, I can't say I recommend this game.
