Crash on load into dorm
For the past few months I have been unable to get into RecRoom. It loads into my dorm and then about 30 seconds later, freezes and then force closes. No error messages.

Thinking it was my old installation, I downloaded and installed on my sons steam account on a completely different computer, SAME THING. It doesn't matter what you are doing. It just stops responding. Log files don't show anything helpful.

Common links between the two machines: Intel i5 processors, mine is a 10th gen, his is 4th. AMD Radeon RX 580 for me, RX 560 for him. Newest card drivers on both machines. Both machines on Windows 10. On my machine this happens in both non-VR and VR modes. Same way, same length of time.

I have submitted a ticket over a month ago with no response. I have also verified files on my machine, but I don't believe this to be a solution since my sons brand new install is doing the same thing.

Anyone else had this happen???

This is odd indeed that it's happening on both machines. Are you running any anti-virus software on both of them?

Windows 10 built in virus and firewall stuff. I tried disabling both with no change. From some suggestions in the Reddit post I made as well, I tried leaving the dorm as soon as I got in. It froze at about the same time in the Rec Center as well.

Here is my Player.log. The AppCrash log mentioned at the end does not exist....

Im assuming there is not personally identifying information in this log. Let me know if there is so I can remove it once we are done with it.

I'm having sort of the same issue i recently downloaded rec room and when i start it and make an account it will freeze the the dorm loading screen then crash with no log.
