freezing for no reason

This has been happening to me a lot lately. I have been randomly freezing in place. It would freeze my hands and not allow me to move. I have noticed this has been happening to other people too. The only way for you to move is to jump. And in order to fix this (temporarily) you have to try and go back to your dorm room while jumping. This is annoying to the point it's hard to play it. If a dev sees this post please fix this so i can play again. P.S. I am using an oculus quest 2.

Just want to note this has been fixed. We rolled back the problematic build that was enabling this freezing behavior.

there has been problems with crashing lately for me ever since the glass update and it is causing my pc to heat up exponentially. it crashes whenever my avatar leaves my dorm room

Your computer overheating is less of a Rec Room issue and more to do with your PC itself. Even the most demanding games do not overheat a well built and recently cleaned PC as long as all fans are installed properly and you have good heat dissipation. However, I would suggest reinstalling if you're crashing immediately after leaving the dorm room.
