1. What modes or rooms do you regularly play, and are you finding lots of screen players
2. Is there something specific that draws you away from wanting to play with screen players
3. What would having a "Match only with VR players" toggle do in terms of overall game experience in your opinion?
I only ask because we already have platform based matchmaking. You're more likely to match with other VR players if you play in VR. If the game is unable to find VR lobbies to drop you in, it chooses a mixed or screen mode lobby as a fallback depending on how busy the room is player-count wise.
1. water gun fight, sword fight, stuff like that.
2. Besides them having an unfair advantage? My son adn I have ran into a lot of toxic screen players that stop playing how the game was intended to ruin the experience for vr players they come across.
3. It'd make the 'mini' games more fair. I've tried non-vr rec room and the games are much easier. Reason why I say non-vr players have an advantage over vr players.
You make a fair point, I play on screen and while i'm not toxic, there are a lot of toxic people(though that problem is in no way limited to it just being screen players, there are definitely more) and yes, the games are easier, I played this on my friends VR and i struggled with games like dodgeball because I can't throw well, but I'm very good at aiming with a mouse, e.g unfair advantage. I can see how playing against people who have an advantage wouldn't be fun and i feel like it should be implemented into the competitive games, but maybe not every game and it should also be a toggle-able option, like you said because me and my friend play on different systems, him on a headset and me on screen.
Is there anyway to know if we've been dropped into a VR-only lobby versus a mixed/flat-only lobby? Any indicator? Or is the game silent on this?
THIS. If we can't choose at least let us know.
