Some tips I can give you is to hold your hands always in front of you when you're trying to whip stuff. Instead of pulling the controller back to snap the whip, pressing the trigger will also snap it back instead of doing a pulling back motion. This helps a lot for users that get tired after a while, but it should also help with any tracking issues that may arise from moving controllers too much.
Another thing is that admittebly the devs aren't the best when it comes to WMR support. I know there have been patches to address WMR bugs like throwing and moving in general but feedback from what I have seen is mixed. I think it varies also a little between which WMR you use, considering there are like a lot of variations from different companies that might do stuff differently.
Anyways, best of luck. If you need help still trying to beat the quest for the weekly (which I assume that's why you're trying it, since it is the weekly for a while) you can always add me, and we can tackle it with another person and such. My in-game @name is @StarCenturion.
