PSA For VR Players
With the addition of non-VR players being able to play RR now, join VR only rooms as you'll get decimated by mouse and keyboard.

Rip RecRoom. VR only lobbies are empty. Screen players are the worst. What's the point of this game now that VR players are the minority?

The Devs wanted more people to pay for microtransactions. Dont really see any other way to justify a game with mostly PvP games. Like, I have to use my real arms to aim a sniper but a M+K player just has to right click and left click. Really OP.

They should have never allowed screen only. We bought VR becuase the price keeps the riff raff out. Now every racist 12 year old with a laptop and a mic can come and squat on our game. Thanks devs.

Yeah, I am about to just quit playing. They ruined the game by allowing screen players.

Too true, Cave Johnson. I just got into loving this game but now... every lobby is at least half screen players. Tf is the point?

Just write a negative review. It's what I did. They're killing what made the game enjoyable, ie playing it in VR.

Trust me I already did

As a note, in our experience so far, VR players have had a noticeable advantage over screen players. Don't underestimate the value of being able to physically dodge/duck, and having a second hand!

I'm sorry, but you know that that is not even remotely true. I have to aim a sniper rifle with my hands. A screen player gets to aim their gun with a slight movement of the wrist and a left click.

If I want to take cover I have to physically move my body over in to cover. Screen players can quickly hold left or right to move into cover

If I want to reload my gun, I have to physically move my hands into a the exact position of the hammer or clip and physically move my hands in a motion in order to do that. Screen players click one button to reload.

VR players get physical fatigue from playing. From motions and from using the VR headset itself. Screen players experience zero of this and can play harder and overall better.

I cannot believe that you guys are honestly trying to justify this with such a lame-ass excuse. There is literally zero game in the entire world where a VR player has a better advantage in a PVP shooting game. Unless that game has some really hard blocks for the screen players to balance it. But even then, physical fatigue and physically aiming with your arms is such a disadvantage to mouse and keyboard

I tried playing Rec Royale with Mouse and Keyboard and got melted, I couldn't even get one person out before getting out myself.

I jumped back into VR, and won 3 games straight with my random Squads with 4+ kill games.

If you ask me, if you are remotely competent in aiming in VR you will beat Screen players. It is no contest.

I don't understand how people think Screen players get an advantage. They don't. You don't have that depth or sense watching a 2D screen. You can't fully dodge and weave. Talk to anyone about trying to do Quests in Screens. It is a nightmare. In VR, you easily dodge, sometimes without thinking.

Also, sniper sights in Screens are built so that they can't just pinpoint shoot you from far distances. Some of you have not tried Screens if you're assuming Screen players can just shot you with 100% accuracy. I find I get better accuracy aiming in VR.

Anecdotal evidence. The vast majority of people will have a harder time aiming with a controller in VR then with a mouse. That's pretty straightforward. Kind of like how controller players typically get out beat buy mouse and keyboard. Not every time, mind you, but statistically

Not to mention that I'm not sure how you're trying to make the claim that using your real arms to move around in real space and having to keep your arms elevated in held still to accurately aim a sniper rifle 300 yards away is somehow easier than pointing your mouth slightly to the right and then left clicking?

No one is saying that mouse and keyboard is 100% of the time instant win. But it's a serious advantage over VR players for pretty obvious reasons. And it's unfair to those who really like playing this game in VR who spent a lot of money on their equipment.

Congrats if it's the easiest dang thing in the world for you, but 99% of other people will have much more difficulty aiming realistically than with a mouse. Like, that's pretty inarguable.

I wouldn't even be complaining about this if they did the smart thing and made separate lobbies with different priorities in them, kind of like fortnite. PC players are at the top so PC players will 100% of the time have PC players in their lobbies. Mobile players are at the bottom because mobile is clearly the hardest play on. Xbox and PS4 are in the middle. If you're a PC player playing with 3 Xbox friends you will always end up in a PC Lobby because PC has an advantage via mouse and keyboard. They should have made it where VR players are always put in a lobby with VR players but if you wanted to join a friend who's using a screen than you're put into a screen Lobby.

EDIT: Just clicked on screen mode to find that its in 3rd person.... FFS, do I even need to list the ways that 3rd person compared to FP VR is OP? (acornyms for dayz, son)
