Even with a 360 treadmill, I would expect to still do a mix of walking short distances and teleporting longer ones.
If you do a 30x30 feet play area you can run around in it, but the game still thinks your torso is in the middle.
The game properly represents your movements within your own room-space, allowing you to take cover or quickly get to the other side of a wall by physically walking there in your room.
There's no reason for it to cause motion sickness when your movements match what you're seeing in the headset.
And the teleporting had delays that appear to pretty closely match how fast you could travel if you physically moved the distance. Walking works very well when you are inside a structure and want to walk back and forth between the openings to look or shoot. It's a pain to teleport and move to the center of the two openings so I can walk back and forth. I still would want to teleport between structures or other long distances, just want to be able to walk smaller distances without hitting my walls.
