Crashing
Hey, I just started playing this but it keeps crashing and taking me back to the dorm. Anybody else have this problem? Any idea what I should do?
P.s. Add me! :)

It has crashed for me a couple of times but not that often. What headset are you using and graphics card?

If it's crashing all the time it might be worthwhile installing it again or ask for help from the devs.

Hey Helkat20 - what system are you using (Oculus, Vive, WindowsMR)? Does it crash as soon as you leave your dorm, or during activities? Do you get any error messages while back in your dorm?

Sorry I should have included that information. I own the HTC Vive and run it on an Alienware laptop with a NVIDIA 1070 and core i7 6700. Both my laptop and vive are only about a year old and I do not have this problem with other games. It crashed while in minigames and in the lobby about 5 times within a 20 minute time-frame (so frustrating).

Oh and yes, it takes me back to the dorm room with an error message on my watch.

Hey! Shoot us an email at support@againstgrav.com and send along as much detail as possible. Screenshot of the error would be very useful. Any patterns associated with when you crash, etc. Thanks!

Thank you Shawn, I'll send a screenshot this evening when I get on.

I still have a similar issue; can someone please offer some idea.
Here's my situation-- I updated my PSU (1000w), and my GPU-- (Nvidia 1080ti). I had no problems with my 1070... I use the WMR Lenovo. I tried four different drivers (cleaned the last GPU driver with DDU). And reinstalled the oldest ver available from geforce.com. It seem to do this during laser tag after about 20 mins of play, and started to do this after 5min in mini games etc. I've installed the latest ver (v411 I think?) and the March 2018 ver. Nope.. the same.

Sometimes the Rec Room's 'loading logo' will display, sometimes I'll be taken out of the game and see the Steam VR Grid Landscape (white and black); sometimes the headset will go black; and sometimes it will go black with audio loaded. I've found articles with similar problems and tried them (added for entertaining reads) The following are the best examples I can find.

I also found this guy's solution:

But I'll have to try it tomorrow, too late.

_*UPDATE (9-25-18):*_ The last solution (Youtube video) worked for me. I have been experimenting with chords and editing steam vr's JSON file; however, the loading issue did have impact before such edits, so I don't think it's 100% related.

Note: if deleting this file (youtube vid) does not work, try a fresh install of Steam VR. That seems to work for those in the comments.

I know it's an older post, but perhaps this will help someone else out....
