Are you aware that you can detach the watch menu from your wrist? To do this:
1) Look at your watch (so the menu appears)
2) Press the menu button - the menu will detach and hang in space much like the old menu.
3) No you can interact with it using either hand.
Maybe this makes it only 10 or 100 times worse?
Blake - when we first shipped the watch it was a little trigger happy (i.e., it would appear when you wave at someone, etc.). We've since toned it down.
Current plan is to keep the watch, and improve it. Krylke, Blake, I hope to make a believer out of you =]
I HIGHLY appreciate the development team taking time out to talk to users. I, for one will return and see the improvements. This is the best social VR game out there. It's important you get it right!
Thank you for your replies! best wishes with this fantastic project!
1) You can detach the watch by pressing the menu button (there's instructions on the bulletin board in the Dorm Room). That way you can use it one handed.
2) In a future update we're likely going to make the watch UI use more physical buttons, so you can press them with the tip of a paintball gun or whatever.
