where to farm/buy leather stripes?

I think it's a typo. They seem really rare to me. I found a couple in the guard barracks on the side of the cliff where all the people are like mining or whatever. It's right outside the first town, across from the area where the Valuable Information quest takes place.

I was complaining about having a hard time finding them a few days ago.

EDIT: I don't have a picture of the location but it's in the lower section of the cliffs to the right of the red circle on this map:

I did get a drop of 4 from the underground worm burrower things but I killed around 20-25 of them trying to farm Larvae (turns out the tooltip is misleading larvae drops from those plants in the techrot areas later on not subterranean creatures)

Not sure if the worms drop them or if it was just a lucky random drop. But yes quite rare at this stage. Unfortunately I dismantled all my straps during the start of the game not realising how valuable they were.

I found a source for leather stips.

Once pushing the main story to the main town you can do 3 hunters lodge contracts. Once complete you become a member and are able to trade with the hunting lodge traders around the map.

The first trader i visited had 10 leather strips for sale and varios other animal and monster parts.

Warden's Hold, Sector 04, way to the west on the map

You need to follow the main story plot for a little bit to be able to go there.

Know this is old but still an issue, don't know why they never fixed this with all the patches they came out.
