Shady Merchant in Lewmer Bugged?
Sometimes when I buy from the Shady Merchant in Lewmer, after exiting the conversation my character becomes completely unresponsive; a pair of technomagi come charging in from outside my field of view, open the door, and charge in, before disappearing. My character remains unresponsive, and at regular intervals another pair of technomagi will rush in, walk through the door, and disappear.

This appears to be some kind of narrative event, based on what others have said, but it's not working correctly - the soldiers just rush in and disappear, and my character remains completely frozen indefinitely.

He is bugged. What happens is that both guards as soon as they enter the room, immediately "drop" to the level below. The game has this problem from time to time - some of the NPC's aren't on the level they are supposed to be.
Then they rush back, it takes them some time to get there.

The solution that worked for me is to wait :) Eventually they will find a path that won't make them fall through the floor. The funny thing is that if one of the guards will find such path first, he will wait for his less fortunate colleague.

It takes about 5-10 minutes for me.

Still bugged, and waiting for 20 minutes didn't fix it for me. I'm really hesitant to play on, if the game is still so broken - which would be a real shame.

It's been nearly a year and I just bought the game and encountered this bug :-\

2. Save Game file before the bug appears.
3. (If possible) Save game file with the bug already present (if the game allows you to save after it appears)

Unfortunately, this bug is still present in the GoG version and I can't find any fix. Waited for about 1 hour but had no luck. I can save/load to unstuck, but the guards keep running back and forth.

it's still present in the steam version :D
