Spawn rate and weight issues
Hello
I've been playing the game for over 12 hours and despite some very rough edges the game is fun
But I have two major issues: Weight and the spawn rate of enemies on the map
Weight is all over the place: For instance I'm always encumbered and I only have 3 weapons and a light armor set. The major weight comes from traps and other assorted thief items. I mean a trap is 1kg, a dart is 0.5kg and a seringe is 0.3kg?
I was out in the wild and I came across a puzzle and after solving it I got 30kg wort of loot in traps and I couldn't freaking move. What the hell kind of crap is this? Also the puzzle is located near a kolohawk spawning point and just when I was trying to figure out what the hell was happening I got attacked by two of the flying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This is ridiculously stupid.

And while I'm on the issue of spawning. What kind of sadist thought spawning a creature every damn 10-15 seconds was a good idea? I'm fighting a spider and while doging I came across other 2 spiders, by the time I was done with them, 3 MORE SPIDERS APPEARED.
There was also a spider queen I wanted to kill because she was sitting near a skill upgrade. So I finish off all the spiders, go after the queen, kill the queen and when I get back the same way I came, 3 MORE SPIDERS APPEARED. REALLY?
Another problem with excessive spawning I encountered in a bandit camp Demon Maw Camp. I saw only 10 or so bandits scattered around the camp. I didn't realize they kept spawning until after killing about 2 dozen of the dozy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Literally I spent a whole ingame night killing bandits and finally had to give it up because they kept spawning

What's the purpose of letting us kill things if they respawn continuously and quickly?

Make enemies respawn every 24 h of in game time it will be way better on top of that make shopkeepers have more gold that replenishes every 24 h or smtn or just give them unlimited gold i have like 10 weapons worth around 300 each and cant sell them to anyone

I second this. They respawn way too quickly. At least make them respawn after I leave the area or after a long fixed time or after loading again like most rpg's do.

Also, the weight is an issue. Sure it gives a sense of realism & I understand it but we also need to collect quite a lot of crafting materials in order to craft. And let's be honest, there's lots of ingredients/materials to collect from the world.

At least make those/or some of the materials weigh nothing so that we don't need to micro manage everything. Collecting them in first place requires work and if I have to worry abt their weight as well, then it's kinda of a turn off.
This is also one of many aspects that I liked abt Witcher 3 tbh; crafting components didnt weigh there.

This too. Those poor merchants have way too less money. haha. I thought the game has a really cool fast forwarding mechanics but not utilized properly. A lot can be achieved through this.

Lucky you. I was at 250 encumbrance after finishing a puzzle. (Granted, the 6k money didn't hurt, but I had to leave around 80% of all stuff behind so I could even start moving)

But yeah, I agree with OP, a bit more carrying capacity or reducing the weight of items would go a long way to make things easier.

Easier, too hard, blablabla... filthy casuals :| What the game needs is a stash where all the crafting components should go :3

Yeah...some things weigh a bit much imo... but unless you are carrying heavy armor and some weapons... you can carry a ton of stuff. I don't want them to make it so I can carry everything in the game I come across...would be stupid. Breeze above is sort of right (on both counts lol.) If you want all the stuff... make a few trips. Just like irl... you might be able to carry a bike or two on your back... but you aren't going to be carrying 50 bikes...so lets not make the game stupid. Just be happy you don't have to eat after every battle and sleep every 5 min... like pillars of crapternity.

So far I have been using one of the abandon shacks in town to stash all my stuff... nothing has dissapeared yet from the crate I put the stuff in... so atm that's working fine.

So what happens when we're out in the wild and we encounter a puzzle that gives us 100kg worth of reward?

I definately feel some traps, consumables and crafting materials need to get their weights rebalanced. Perhaps the basic components could get stored in the smithy itself instead of being carried by us?

Another issue I feel is the POOR merchants! How in the world are we supposed to sell things to them when they at most carry only 50 or so auryte? Perhaps bump up their supply of currency to 500 or atleast refresh their supply every 24hr game time.

Hi guys,

Remember that you are a Master Thief. That means you can steal whatever you want. Try to use boxes which lie around the whole island to keep some of the stuff out there.

For spiders - normally any other monster/animal in game respawn every 120 seconds. Only the spider queen is different, as she summons her spiders, so fight with her might be challenging. We will look into the problem and tweak if possible. There is a small hint how to damage spider queen more efficiently - she eats cocoons lying around in the arena to heal herself. Try to place a trap on such cocoon and wait until she eats it.

Take care!

I try clean small location with many enemies.
I can't run to loot - they kill me instantly. I can't stealth - to many enemies on small area. I can't kill one by one - they are respawn faster than i kill.

- 120 sec is waaaaaaaaay to little time between spawns in a singleplayer game. This is not a damn MMO. Even MMOs have slower spawn rate ffs. Like someone said make them spawn a fixed number per ingame day.
- The queen wasn't the problem. She's slow and stupid and easily dodged. Also she gets stuck in the landscape if you lure her up the hill. Defeating her was hilariously easy because of this
Also the big faucet at the top of her lair does nothing when activated. It pours some green liquid on top of the queen but I didn't see any effect.
Problem was that after I beat her, a bunch of spiders showed up, and I was encumbered because the queen had a big axe on her which I wanted to drag to my stash. So I had to fight 3 agile enemies while being encumbered as hell.
I mean the balance is off when the minions are way tougher than the big bad boss

That'll teach you to solve puzzles. Azurite is mostly used in crafting and buying visa pills so you don't have to depend on the buggy visa cloning mechanic
