Hi Hanz,

You have to upgrade your crafting station and then find a schematic that will allow you to upgrade the multi-tool. Same mechanics applies to lockpicks.

Take care!

Be sure to save up polymer forms beacuse you need four of them (among other things) to craft the polymer drill (which is the best one).

As far as I know, you can't really miss the upgrades if you do the main quest.

I did not acquire the polymer lockpick schematic @ Savaash's Hideout. I even went back and Sended Mode every square inch, especially by the Cargo box near the terminal control but I have no Polymer schematic and this is starting to become an issue.

Is there another way to list your schematics other than attempting to 'Assemble' @ a crafting station? No Polymer Lockpick shows up for me when I do.

I upgraded all Crafting stations to level 3, I have all of the requisite mats....but I just do not have the option of a Polymer Lockpick....I only have option for metal.

Anyone else having this issue? Is there a game progression for getting the upgraded lockpick ONLY if you are using certain crafting stations?

Welp, a year later, and I have the same thing. I know I picked it up i remember it, but it's not an option.

Did you ever figure it out?

You're going to hate this answer, but yes....I did figure out why this was happening but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. I think it had to do with which crafting station or zone or something like that. This bugged me to no end, so I hate that I can't remember the reason.

Just started the game and i figured you need to have Thief's chip + Thief passive skill and then upgrade thief lockpick (same for drill). After that if you have all mats etc you make the upgrade for tools
