Crafting materials
So my biggest issue with is game is not performance, AI, paths of NPC, stuck NPC, hit through walls, confusing objective highlight on map etc., but CRAFTING MATERIALS, their WEIGHT and CATEGORY.

Honestly, if items are marked as JUNK, I automatically sell them. Especially as weight limit is not forgiving in this game and some pieces are easily weighting near double digits.

And then I find out that half of these items is needed to craft consumables, armor, upgrade armor etc. And then I need to dismantle another half of junk to get mats to upgrade crafting/alchemy station.

I know, this game is not holding my hand. This is topic for different discussion, but slowly learning it's rules im more comfortable playing the game now even though I had to find out ton of stuff on my own. But marking important CRAFTING MATERIALS as JUNK? Why? Can't you just make another category labeled as (CRAFTING) MATERIALS? Tbh I like crafting here, using lower tier consumables to create better ones, farming better tier lockpick etc. But not when I don't know what I should keep or not for possible recipes without constantly checking and making notes from Assemble tab at stations.

Now that could be overlooked(with hard dedication and 1 and 1/2 eyes closed), but my next issue is I have finally found Stash. I go to big box and I see Open Stash. I immediately guess it is Stash that was mentioned in patch notes that is accessbile from all crafting stations. Now what I understand under these words is that if Stash is accessible from all stations that means I can store junk, I mean materials, in it and when I walk to staties 2 steps from it I can craft items that need mats stored in Stash even though I don't have them on myself. I think, FANTASTIC, because that saves me several dozens of weight units that is better used on disguises and weps. But nope. I store all my metal junk in it, all syringes and then I walk to crafting station and I can not craft anything because I am missing mats, even though I have stored them in stash.

Where am I supposed to store items then? Because I can barely wear disguise for Technomages and have Biomancer stuff with me too without overweighting so keeping junk, sorry, keeping CRAFTING MATERIALS with me all the time is out of option.

This interrupts my enjoyment quite a lot because my character is much slower than it should be if I immediately knew what to sell and what to keep/store in chests and I also have to check notes/game menu often when looting or selling stuff. I wanna keep playing this game and I try hard to find reasons to come back to it, because I like theme and general gameplay, but little annoyances like that make it though :((

Can't we just have new CRAFTING MATS category for items that are needed for crafting? Or at least mark materials for already learned recipes.

And what is this supposed to mean, if I can't access mts stored in Stash? "NEW: Stash accessible now through every crafting and alchemical station."

Hi!

Thanks for this comment. I would like to clarify a thing about stash system :)

Now stash is accessible from every crafting / alchemical station and also fast travel terminals by holding interaction button and picking OPEN STASH action. We are still working on crafting system gaining materials directly from stash as well, so you will not have to switch between stash / crafting all the time, but it takes time to implement and I hope we will introduce it shortly.

Regarding junk items and decomposing them/ selling them by accident - we are considering adding an icon to junk items details with information about particular items being crafting materials, so you will be aware of what this item actually is.

However, please let me know if you have any comments :)

Cheers :)

@kurara_88 thank you, it's good to hear you are already working on what I felt was missing for me in the game.

Since I wrote this few days ago I have already progressed further in the game. Had some issues at times, but when all clicks together, it is a nice experience worth the time and effort :) and by the looks of it, you are still working on improving the game, so it will be only better and better. Looking forward to that day when all stuff you are working on will be implemented in live version of game :)

You can easily get any crafting material from mats vendors in abundance extremely cheap (It's broken, tbh). I dont even pick up anything from boxes anymore. I just buy hundrets of matrs from vendors for disambling sessions or stock up 20+ mats if it's one i actually need.

except for leather stripes. those are very rare.

Yes, it's explained here - Now stash is accessible from every crafting / alchemical station and also fast travel terminals by holding interaction button and picking OPEN STASH action.

First thing I understood in game - no point in collecting anything less than "rare". You can farm all simple materials in fighting dome, just put Free for all and after 3-4 swings you get much weapons, leather and money. Do it until you get needed ammount. If you need tech just kill solo guards from behind. Your first Katana (and good guard armor set) from first guard works well couple more districts. So I see no point in collecting anything. I've upgraded my tech\alch stations to 3-d lvl in first district, so have no problems with materials or money.) Game is not so challenging so far.)

Get the Hunting Permit: their vendors stock leather strip(e)s in x10 blocks.

As I said before just go to fight dome and loot contestants for their clothes, most of em are leather, even if not you can always craft leather from "dirty pants and banana". :-)

Leather Strip(e)s =/= leather, and they're extremely rare in the world. I found ~8 or so after looting the entire map religiously; they're also used for the +load weight modifications, making them probably the most desirable upgrade material.

Now I understand what you mean, I can't find them either. I wonder if it is bug or they are really ment to be so rare. Maybe they are craftable and a recipe can be found? And ppl say that you can buy some from hunters when you join em.

Hi!

Stripes are mainly being sold by Hunter's Lodge Vendors. You can either join Hunter's Lodge in Warden's Hold, or simply steal those stripes from those vendors.

There is also a chance Scrap Crabs will drop them.

Those big hermit crab monsters drop like 6 at a time.
