I made the same mistake at first and forgot to put the boots on.
They only fool electronic systems, not guards
Also shouldn't guards be suspicious of other guards that stand too close to them?
Disguises should be blown if you do something that you shouldn't be doing as a guard. Like jimmying doors or being somewhere you shouldn't. Not if you stand too close to another guard. Also drones should be able to detect you instead of humans. Drones have sensors that should read biometrics and match them against their database.
Humans just see another human wearing a full faced helmet.
Personally I don't use disguises all that much because I can't carry the weight because of the ridiculous weight limit and because thief items and meds weigh metric ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
You mean like... standing still, staring straight at a guard, totally speechless?
Guards have patrol duties and assignments. If you look like a guard and you're not patrolling and you're not at your assigned location, you're probably not a guard.
There's more to identifying threats than facial recognition. You think guards with full helmets can see each other's faces? How do you suppose they know who's a guard?
By measuring expected behaviors against actual behaviors.
Also at the Blackwood manor it was useless to take the guards suit. Much better was to steal servant´s suit, it wasn´t as suspicious as the guards one.
Basicly if you are dressed properly, you see special icon on upper left corner (cylinder). But even if you are properly dressed up it is very hard to avoid suspicious activity. And by running thru city or some location with the techno suit, the guards still spott me and want to fight, so they stop me from reaching some place (I know that running is suspicious activity, but they realy never run? Is it realy so suspicious?). And it is not protected places, it is common locations, but for them it is problem. I found that if I wear off the helmet it´s ok, because it is no longer complete suit, but by fight I need to wear it and it has also impact to weight. Simply using suits is not that game function I expected to be.
On this page, there is a explanation of using suits, maybe, you can find there something usefull: https://guides.gamepressure.com/seven_the_days_long_gone/guide.asp?ID=42655
True, I've never bother about looking for full-set of clothes to pass thru one location / building etc, nor to clone visa of random guy .
