The weight would be ok, but so far all the upgrade I have found require random junk item on top of the standard salvaged component. Maybe I havnt progressed enough for it to make sense but right now its a weird feeling.
Follow the trails. Overseers are at military bases. Unfortunately. Fast traveling is really complicated here.
You can access your stash via interacting with Fast Travel Panels (just hold interaction key/button to see more interactions). It'll work for unlocked panels only tho.
Please remember that you play as a master Thief. That means you can steal basically everything in this world, but you certainly don't absolutely need everything. Leave some things behind and rob some poor guy again when you need something ;)
Take care!

EDIT:
Just checked and yesterday I was at 85, now I'm at 75. I'm not sure why.
for people who has thief as the fave class like me, limited inventory like this make me feel dread while playing the game ... luckily fallout and skyrim has mod support ... but how about seven?
I plan to play this game, but as long this carry weight still become a problem for people who don't like to left anything behind like me, I will wait ... maybe until the dev enabled mod support or make a cheat for this
there are some armour upgrade they bump up your limit as well as a skill chip
So it is possible to increase carry weight, you just need to find the upgrade schematics.
I got this same issue and no idea why
it's really messing things up for me, 85 i was stretching it and now it's a whole 10 less?
And it sure doesn't help that *darts*, of all things, weight HALF A POUND. Or that simple leather caps weigh 2 pounds.
Stuff like old chars medicine is 0.5, but body dissolver is 0.1? Thats a heavy cloth in that molotov, i guess.
they never miss neck day thats for sure
