We don't have any plans for the demo at the moment. It might change in the future, but we are focusing on the game itself right now. We will provide more technical details soon. Stay tuned!
We want to make it clear. Seven: The Days Long Gone is a completely new game set in its own world with original mechanics. We get our inspirations from the best games on the market, but we want to provide a unique experience :)
Take care!
IMGN.PRO and Fool’s Theory Team
but different game engine, setting and story ... and both aren't Commandos ... ;)
Really looking forward playing it! My top most wanted in 2017 ...
I will keep my eye on this title, that is for sure. Just don't forget borderless fullscreen support! ;)
Thankfully this looks nothing like it, other than that it has isometric view and stealth. By that logic Thief is a clone of Rainbow Six, as they both have first-person view and stealth.
Neither does the world look anything like Witcher's.
I just dont understand how you got to "Shadow Tactics BotS clone in Witcher world".
BTW can you spot similarities in the structure of games name abbreviations, too?
The more I see about this game, the more it gets further away from witcher world. Also, now some media previews sense the same vibe about this game as I do (https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2017/11/24/seven-the-days-long-gone-shows-off-sneaking-disguises-and-murder/).
But I will not lose interest in this title before seeing it in action for real.
Naturally, you can have and keep your own point of view.
RPS says "calls to mind everything from Thief to Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun" - which means nothing more than "its a stealth game with common stealth mechanics like cone of view, enemy patrol routes, stealth takedowns, disguises etc".
When you stay stuff like "clone" or "even too much (similar)" you should be able to substantiate them. Nonsense is not a valid point of view.
And, by now it does look like game is not set in a Witcher world. I was mislead in that regard by some media hype. And I have explained it already.
You statements:
<quote1>"its a stealth game with common stealth mechanics like cone of view, enemy patrol routes, stealth takedowns, disguises etc".</quote1>
and
<quote2>When you stay stuff like "clone" or "even too much (similar)" you should be able to substantiate them.</quote2>
contradict each other.
Gameplay is cloned, hardly "nothing more than this, that, bla, bla...".
If you like this game, just buy it and enjoy.
Gameplay in Seven is not cloned from ST.
Dishonored or the old Thief games are closer in terms of gameplay.
They have similar artstyles with Borderlands as well. it doesn't matter.
Maybe you're confusing the games because of the isometric perspective??
All others will have to wait and see for themselves. Media (p)reviews are not overwhelming nor positive; far from it - mediocre at best.
If developers create something special, they will sell this product like hotcakes. If not...
I, for sure, am slowly losing interest in this title. At least, steam is full of choices.
"It’s a mashup of a lot of different settings, which I haven’t decided if I love or just find really confusing."
In my mind, when something is great from get-go, one does not stay undecided - one just knows it is great.
But, please, do not turn this upside down. I have noting against these developers. I wish them all the best. And I hope that game that they are developing is going to be only better and better as the development process goes on. Especially after release. Many developers forget that "after release" part.
