The Holy Bible may preach peace, but when it is Christendom itself that is threatened, it is every Christian's duty to defend all that is holy. His Holiness the Pope has called a crusade to reclaim the holy lands from the infidel, who would deny Christian pilgrims their right to visit the holy places. It is time for the armies of Christendom to put aside their differences and unite under one banner, the sign of the cross, and give back God's children what is rightfully theirs or die trying. Deus vult.

This game gaslights players by changing effectiveness of troops, without your knowledge or ability to prevent, based on how well youre doing. You can test this yourself by just scum saving your progress after every action to see how the programming reacts to individual decisions. You can easily see the game adjust its rules/constraints based on your success. Dont waste your time trying, because I wasted hundreds of hours to realize the game cheeses the difficulty based on how well YOU are playing.

When you do better, the AI will strike your towns with UNPREVENTABLE riots and force conflict. Or, my favorite, will have your leader simulate a battle that they lose 95% of their men, but on field when you just aggro launch your troops, you win with 0 casualties. If you need to bribe players to command their troops by illogically murdering them if they don't command them, then your game sucks.

15 men with 5 elephants will route your army of 1000's, lol. Make that make sense and I'll play this game again. I didn't realize multiple Mailed knights charge would lose battle to archer militia. HAHAHA this game sucks, objectively and it takes about 30 hours to realize how inconsistent the rules, parameters, and damage is in the game.

Its an older game, but the programmers seemed to rely too heavily on the, "We gotta put the carrot farther away from the donkey mid-game, cause theyre actually catching it!" Instead of, "Consistency". lol.

A game released in 2006 yet still played and even modded today. That alone says alot.
