Stainless Steel 6.4, Timurids?

Is it possible to play as the Timurids in SS? And does the Mongol Empire have to be destroyed in order for the Timurids to spawn after them?
Also please tell me at which turn the Timurids spawn, im trying to autopilot a hotseat campaign to wait for the Timurids so knowing when they arrive on late period.

Timurids got removed from SS I think, to make room for other factions. There's a hardcoded limit to the number of factions in this game and the people behind SS probably thought other factions would be more interesting/important.

The Timurids should turn up between turns 250 - 260 of an early campaign, so 1350- 1360 AD; afaik they're not playable, just an emergent faction, even if you do a late campaign.

The Timurds in SS are, as far as I know, the Cumans or the Kwarezmian Empire.

Cumans and Kwarezmians are on the map in 6.4 aren't they? Timur started his conquests a bit East of the Aral sea so he would be right on the edge of the map, perfect for a horde faction

So I have to start on the early era campaign then?
And I can change the date from 250-260 to 10-15 in the files right? Autopiloting 260 turns would be a slow ass process but maybe coming to early would be too ez.

If you'e doing a hotseat campsign JUST to hop into the Timmies' shoes, you might as well run the mod setup as a late campaign; i *think* they turn up just into that. Not sure when exactly, as my installation is set to early.

Well I think I autopiloted at least 20 turns or maybe 15 and I even tried to set the date to 10-15 but they never showed up

I have set the date to 30 and they arrived at turn 32 when I was playing a SP early campaign as Denmark so it works but only for SP and not hotseat how the ♥♥♥♥ do I change it for hotseat aswell???

Is Genghis Khan in SS? I played as Golden Horde but leader was Batu Khan, not Genghis.

I suppose he's only around when you play the early campaign in Stainless Steel since that has the event of the Mongols/Golden Horde showing up.

In the late campaign the Mongols/Golden Horde have already arrived and you can complete their conquests in Europe.

its 1357 for me, no Timurids. I need them to troll the Fatmids before the win the game!
