Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Why is there no STEAM workshop for this game?
I know there is none yet, but what is keeping Valve from making one, I think it would do good considering the modding comunity is AMAZING for this game. Now imagine that plus people like me who don't know haw to get mods unless they can hit subscribe.

This has been discussed many MANY times on these Forums.

1. Head to Store page for M2 and Kingdoms, each.

2. Read the release date and then look at your calendar to see which year this is.

3. Add 1+1 together

4. If you cant figure this out, uninstall M2TW and go find a new game to play.

5. Or go look up this topic on these Forums, for something easier.

Valve doesn't decide if this game gets steamworkshop support, CA and SEGA decide that.

Most mods are easily 1gb+ and already have a gazillion people incapeable of properly installing and launching them.

Having steam workshop will only f*ck up the game even more for those wanting "mods" that are simple edits through notepad.

true you just have to find instructions
CorsairPL Nov 12, 2017 @ 5:41am
it is not like you can just turn it on by ticking the box, it just does not work that way.

Ah yes, how did we survive and play mods before steam and youtube came along?
Must have to do with actually reading README instructions.
i suppose it is nice just to hit a subscribe button
but PC's are not all identical Xbox's,and it is a test platform for software and hardware
so although it is brave, something like steam workshop is never going to be fool proof
best to learn how not to be the fool,it's not to hard, and you may even get left with a sense of accomplishment

The day you can tickmark 5GB mods in any workshop do let me know. The problems you mention will obviously remain.
@gigantus, you can with pro cycling manager 2017 worlddb, says 3gb on the file but its actuarlly a 15gb download xD
Gigantus Nov 14, 2017 @ 1:36am
The 5GB is compressed as well - installs as 17GB - the EBII mod for M2TW
Is the cycyling manager a workshop download or the actual game?

It doesn't mean its old doesn't mean it can't have workshop.

Did you pass point 3? I don't think you have the mental capability to do so. After all, you haven't replied to all the other points, and instead you nitpick a small argument that is still in fact perfectly robust.

M2 has not, does not, and never will have a workshop. Not unless CA's business practice turns on its head.

you don't need to, you can sub to mods in parts. plenty of huge mods already do this. like morning sun for example.

Then some idiot will leave out subscribing to part #3 of 10 and ask "Why doesn't the mod work?"

Its so hard to follow instructions. I have been trying to install MOS for TATW today and it doesn't work. Workshop will be a good thing.
