my conclusion about the English Faction

1. Their Town Units are Worse than most of their neighbors
England can only train these units in their town:
-Town Militia
-Spear Militia
-Bow Militia
-Bill Militia
-Heavy Bill Militia
-Merchant Cavalry
-Demi Lancers
-Any Siege.
While for example,France Towns can train:
-Town Militia
-Spear Militia
-Crossbow Militia
-Voulge Militia
-Pike Militia
-Pikeman
-Gendarmes
-Any Siege
These may seem similar,but note that France town can train Pikeman,a super defensive units,perfect for defending town,but they come pretty late.

2. their Spears are worse than other European Factions
They only have Spear Militia from towns,and Spear Levy from Castles,which is identical,but Sergeant Spearman or Armoured Sergeant can always be welcomed.

3. Pretty Simple Cavalry
The English Knight is nice,since they're on par with Imperial Knight.

4. Super Late Heavy Infantry are easy to manage
The Armoured Swordsman is just like a Discounted dismounted Chivalric Knights,they have kinda the same stats,but Armoured swordsman only need 150 Upkeep,while Chivalric Knights need About ~250

5. They rarely ran out of longbow recruits.
the English unique unit is probably the Longbowman,and then there's Yeoman,and Retinue Longbowman,all of these three units has "kinda" Identical stats,the only big difference is their Melee Skills,but for Missiles they're basically the same units.
This could play to their advantage for defending towns,since you have 3 Seperate units that do the same thing(Long Range Attacking)with some micro,the English Weak Archer Militia will be just a relic,since you can train so many longbows rather quickly with only one castle.
for short,make the longbow at a castle,and then put it to town to defend it.

6. Billmen are decent.
I don't know where did the Hate came from,but I use my billmen as a reserve force,let my Spear Levy take the charge,and then either reinforce the Spear Levy if they're losing,or quickly go to the flank.

7. Heavy Billmen Vs Heavy Bill Militia
Pick Heavy Billmen,even though they're the same,Heavy Billmen has the "Good Stamina" Stat,which makes combination with the Levy Spearman even better,since the Billmen can run to the flanks without tiring.

Im playing this game with SS and my english armies are just filled with peasents because it takes like 5 turns just for Spear Militia to be able to be trained

Spear "Levy"
Spear Militia is only available in towns.
but they have 50% Replenishment rate even if your Militia Barracks is super low on level.
But even in Castles Levy Spearman have 50% Replenishment rate.

also with the masons guild,the Spear Militia has 40% Replenishment.

So there's no way a Spear Militia/Levy needs 5 turn.

England is an easy faction. Not necesarily the best.

I take it you dont like England? You could try Spain...early game they have no melee units, except for maybe peasants.

Or try some other factions, maybe not just the Catholic factions.

i get the impression that yuri is on volume 3 of an encyclopaedia of gripe about every single faction in Med 2; quite what he expects to acheive with it along the way, apart from seeking attention, is anybody's guess.
His most constructive effort so far was the scotland entry, but given his lack of response to the comments given, advice hasn't been what he's been looking for.

Play to your faction's strengths, whichever faction it is - England really don't need any better spearmen, given how good their archers are (hint: stakes)
